Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Plates.
Hi Angel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When it rains it pours and just like any other person I was just getting through a lot of life teaching moments. I hit a brick wall and begin to do a little soul searching. I finally stopped battling with myself and that’s how Angel Plates was birthed. My grandfather always had a hand in my teaching and love for cooking. From a couple of family meals and a couple of family holidays, the request for my food became a necessity. I started out small doing platters for family and friends. After a solid year of doing platters, I teamed up with my brother to grow more as a business. Doing everything myself was all fun and games until the demand got bigger. We evolved to doing meal prep, catering, and private dinners for a list of clients throughout Atlanta Ga.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles have been taking on more than you can chew speaking in food terms. It’s nice to be able to provide people with a great healthy food experience but it becomes a bit much when you have a 100+ people that want your food on the same day at the same time and it’s just me and my brother most of the time. It becomes overwhelming at times but this is what we’ve prayed for.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a sister-brother duo, Jersey born and now reside in Ga. We are a young soul food catering business with an old soul food taste. We specialize in seafood, vegan, and soul food. Healthy vibes are always the key when it comes to making our food. We pride ourselves with providing “A Taste of Heaven on Earth.” We use nothing but fresh ingredients in all of our food. Catering has been our bread and butter this past year along with introducing our seafood pasta.
