Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Wood.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I literally started my business with no idea of the services I would offer. I just knew I needed to get the process started. It was after I received some life-changing advice to at least incorporate my name or make it a business. Consequently, my name would become its own entity and generate value. I was good at many things but could not pinpoint what I wanted to do as an entrepreneur. I have always had a passion for organization and administration. At a young age, my mother instilled the importance of order and excellence. The skills I acquired from serving in church, my educational matriculation, and now my invaluable experience in the HR corporate field have all led me to where I am today.

After undergrad, I moved to Ohio for law school. I was unable to finish but remained in the legal industry for a few years. Once I relocated back to Georgia in 2011, I began working for a Fortune 100 company. This is my 12th year, and I have held roles in quality assurance, facilitation, instructional design, process management, change management, HR communications, and project management. As a result, I utilize all of these areas in the quality services I offer my clients.

In 2022, I finally made the leap to make it official. I had been providing administrative assistance to others for many years. Friends and family were starting their own businesses and would reach out to me to proofread documents, create flyers or PowerPoint presentations, etc. Thereafter, I had a logo created and built out my website. I’ve been moving forward ever since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It actually has been a smooth road for me. Serving and pushing the visions of others afforded me a sneak peek into what it takes to run a business. But I’ve had to push through some very long nights. I have not been able to focus more time on my businesses because I still work full-time during the day. I grind it out in the evenings and weekends. Some months are better than others. I give myself grace and time to figure out how to prioritize being a CEO and still grow in my career.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My company seeks to assist executives, working professionals, and non-profit organizations in meeting their administrative needs and operational goals. I help start-up businesses mimimize administrative and operational disruptions through business concierge services. I’m aware that many day-to-day tasks can be monotonous and tasking, depending on the industry and demand. I have conversed with entrepreneurs who will admit they are just not good with anything administrative and don’t care to be either. So that’s where I come in!

The business concierge services I offer include event management, policy and procedure documentation, strategic planning, back-end administrative and operational support, building and redesigning websites, and content development (e.g., presentations, handouts, flyers, webinars, online courses).

I strive to help my target audience streamline their needs so they can focus on what matters most. I am most proud that I’m able to simplify business needs, elevate client branding, and deliver quality and professional services. Client testimonials are proof that my business stands by its goal of meeting and exceeding expectations.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness is living out my passions and the liberation attached to the awareness. What makes me happy in business is the ability and freedom to be creative and bring my clients’ requests to life. It is very rewarding to hear and see their appreciation after trusting me with their vision. I don’t take it lightly. No matter how small the task, I’ve done my job if they can worry about one less thing as entrepreneurs and leading industry leaders.
