Hi Bianca “Mz Bee”, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Actually, ironically enough, I started in Entertainment…more specifically, Singing. That was my entire life. Singing, Recording, Songwriting, Musicianship, etc. All things musically motivated, I was there! I loved it…until “the industry” began taking over and it no longer felt like freedom. I had a choice to make…either create like I wanted to create or be made to create like others wanted me to. I chose MY OWN CREATIVITY & FREEDOM and maneuvered to my next phase…Beauty!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road WAS NOT smooth at all. Well…let me be a bit more specific…The transition into beauty was VERY smooth because it was already a go-to when I needed a mental vacation from music and the music industry, however, I did have to attend A LOT of schooling to acquire my accreditations (i.e. Master Cosmetologist, Master Cosmetology Instructor, and Trichologist) and REALLY make the impression in the beauty industry that I desired to make. I didn’t want to just TALK about it. I had to BE about it. From there, I launched my brand, Beauty by Mz Bee Salon Studios, opened two salon locations and instructed hundreds on multiple platforms as an Advanced Cut/Color Artist and Trichologist, teaching the importance of healthy scalp & hair and the prevention of hair thinning, shedding, breakage and loss.

I am a MULTI-preneur! I oversee several entities that are programmed and structured to be a solution to an everyday problem within our community. Beauty by Mz Bee Salon Studios is where we enhance our client’s outer beauty to reflect their inner beauty. At Bianca “Mz Bee” Lee, LLC, we assist in guiding our clients on their journey to reaching their Divine Purpose by cultivating their gifts and developing their emotional, spiritual, sexual and mental abilities, resulting in undeniable life fulfillment and undisputed success stories. At Behind The Scenes Awards & Recognition, LLC…also known as The BTS Awards, we celebrate the beautiful individuals that utilize their expertise working behind the scenes supporting executives and other leaders without gaining the proper recognition and celebration that they deserve. Beyond The Scenes Community Effort, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing grief counseling and coaching for Mothers who suffered the loss of a child(ren) as well as Women that are unable to mother through pregnancy, creative arts programs for foster children, prison reform and returning citizen rehabilitation programs, job fairs for young Fathers and much more. Lastly, EMC3 All Natural Infused Decadence where we prepare tasty treats, fresh baked with a blend of High-Quality hybrids for a euphoric experience. Deliciousness that reminds you of Grandmother’s kitchen.
The thing that sets me apart from others is ME! I am very unique in every endeavor that I embark on. My focus and determination in entrepreneurship is off the charts. Any goal that I set out to achieve is done so in excellence, accuracy and boldness. There’s NOTHING that I’m afraid to do and NOONE that I’m intimidated by because I know ME and I know what I’m made of. If I want it, I create it…Simple. In everything that I’ve accomplished, I’ve always done in record time and lives are changed as a result.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the focus of each entity. They’re all in place for our community, our people, our culture. There aren’t enough resources for our African American people. Because we know that this country won’t give us to resources and tools that we require to ensure carefree living, we are responsible for providing it for ourselves. No longer will we sit back and wait to be “saved”…We will save ourselves.

Something surprising that most people who know me or my brand might not know that I am the spiritual Mother of over 100 “Children”… Men, Women, Boys & Girls alike. I am Yemoja, Mother to all, and it is one of the most FULL-filling callings on my life. I love, encourage, motivate, chastise, mentor, embrace, and support each of them individually as if I birthed them myself. It is my esteemed honor to be their Mother and I am committed to being by their sides until Spirit says otherwise.
