Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlton Falconer.
Hi Carlton, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
With the vision of helping people develop a better relationship with God and having a passion for writing, I made the decision to become a Christian Blogger and launch my brand Carlton Speaks, LLC in 2016.
This brand places an emphasis on spiritual encouragement and the empowerment of women. Over the last five years, Carlton Speaks has been viewed in 92 different countries including the United States and has reached a following of over 20,000 people worldwide.
In the midst of building a global brand, I decided to start a graduate program at Grand Canyon University for Life Coaching; completing my coursework in January (2018).
Under the tutelage of Reverend John Knight and Dr. William Curtis, I became a Licensed Associate Minister at Mount Ararat Baptist Church in August (2018). Also during the month of August, I was voted as one of Pittsburgh’s Best Local Bloggers in the Pittsburgh City Paper (3rd Place).
During the summer (2019), I was selected as a Fab 40 Honoree for being one of the top young professionals in the city of Pittsburgh.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My journey as a Minister and Certified Life Coach has had both peaks and valleys.
Some of the challenges that I’ve encountered along the way include unemployment, fatigue, financial hardship, a breakup, and the normal challenges that come with being a full-time entrepreneur.
My relationship with God helped me overcome the obstacles that I had to encounter.
God and a small support system was all that I had during this time. Not only did my relationship with God help me overcome the mentioned challenges, my relationship with him became stronger and he used each trial to make me better!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Over the last six years, Carlton Speaks has placed an emphasis on Spiritual Encouragement and Women Empowerment.
My primary focus as a Minister and Certified Life Coach is to help people enhance their relationship with God through coaching and Christian content. Also as a Life Coach, I also assist people with personal and professional development.
One of the things that make my coaching business unique is the commitment to coaching based on Christian principles and creating a customized coaching program for each client!
From a brand perspective, I’m proud of seeing my growth as both a coach and Minister along with the lives impacted by my content and coaching.
I want every reader to know that my brand and services are Christ-centered and designed to empower people to become the best version of themselves!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
From a Ministry perspective, I envision myself as the Senior Pastor of my own church along with the completion of my Master In Divinity program.
I’m also eager about pursuing a Doctoral degree after completing this program.
From a coaching perspective, I envision myself working with more clients and potentially becoming a Life Coach for an organization, college, or professional sports team.
