Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Watson.
Hi Caroline, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We both as children enjoyed being outdoors and playing in the dirt. Dan McEver of Maxham Farms Landscape LLC grew up Toccoa, Georgia and Caroline Watson of Blooming Buckets and Beds LLC grew up in Charleston, SC. Their passion for culture of plants and landscape both rooted in their childhood.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We think there are always struggles in any business. The beautiful part of our work is being outdoors in nature and working with fun clients beautifying their home environment. We would agree that if you are ever in a bad mood struggling with Atlanta traffic as soon as we get to the nursery or job site the blinders go on, you begin to work beautifying the space whether it be installation or maintenance.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Dan and Caroline met three years ago and became friends because of the nature of their work. While Caroline buys pots and flowers for porches, poolside and decks Dan focuses on landscape enhancement, maintenance and troubleshooting in the landscape. Dan and Caroline focus on being responsive, building relationships and learning individual clients needs. Dan, with a BSA in horticulture and plant pathology, specializes in maintenance and cultivation of turf, woody ornamentals and solving whatever care issues arise. Caroline specializes in the design, installation and cultivation of annuals and perennials in containers and landscape.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
We have both learned the importance of patience, going with the flow of weather patterns and challenging environmental conditions.
