Hi Catherin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my life born and raised in the city part of Selma AL. Didn’t graduate high school due to wanting to make ends meet for family at a young age my mom was a single mom of five so I kind of took up the responsibility at an early age not wanting to see her struggle any longer. I got a job in the 9th grade made things work from there. Dropped out but I immediately went back to school for my GED. Along with that got two degrees and to fast forward I am now an entrepreneur the business owner and ceo of Classykittywink&morellc. I’ve been running it about a year now. I have been very encouraged to help women in the cosmetic industry find their beauty within. We offer cosmetic products to women of all ages. While studying the culture and knowing what women like I’ve also been certified as a Elevation and Personal Development Life Coach we help women discover their true gifts and goals while holding them accountable to their new discoveries. If there is anything I’ve learned over this year is to stay consistent no matter how things look or feel never give up have a goal to reach go for it believe in it and don’t stop until it’s achieved.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has not been a smooth road to me it’s had its ups and down some of my struggles along the way was thinking that my support system would be there because I’ve been a supportive person. Understanding that this was not the way it was supposed to be helped me push pass it and go even harder. Another struggle I found was being able to balance products all why budgeting and taking care of home. That was a challenge and still is sometimes for me because since I’m still really trying to get myself out there everything I do I pay for advertising, content , etc so it has its ups and downs along the way.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a certified lash technician. My brand has been established for a year and some months now. What I enjoy about my products is that they’re all natural products and for women of all ages. I enjoy helping women build their confidence. Not just women but we offer products that mom and daughters are able to build a bond with, our mommy and me bonnets. Our services are offered to those locally, but anything wanted off our website can be shipped, we apply lashes to those that may need a little assistance while giving them top notch cosmetic sets which includes lash pen, mirror, spoolie brush, and tweezers. What sets us apart is that we are always doing things with a genuine heart, always finding ways to keep in touch with customers and clients, we offer discounts to returning customers while just checking in with any needs and that’s what sets us apart.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
True humility and integrity is an important characteristic I feel is most important to my success.
