My journey in healthcare began in high school, where I started working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. At an early age, I was exposed to the realities of hands-on patient care—supporting individuals with daily needs, advocating for dignity, and learning how much consistent, compassionate care truly matters.
As I advanced in my career and became a nurse practitioner, I gained a deeper understanding of the clinical gaps that exist beyond hospital and clinic walls, particularly after discharge or during long-term recovery. I saw firsthand how patients and families often struggled without adequate support at home.
Those experiences ultimately led me to expand beyond clinical practice by building and leading a home care agency, while also supporting other healthcare organizations through consulting.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of patient advocacy, healthcare operations, and leadership. Whether I’m caring for patients, mentoring professionals, or helping agencies grow, my mission remains the same: to deliver ethical, accessible, and compassionate care—while empowering others to do the same.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not! But that’s been one of the most defining parts of my journey. Like many in healthcare and entrepreneurship, I’ve faced challenges that tested both my endurance and resolve. I balanced demanding clinical roles while pursuing advanced education, often navigating long hours, emotional fatigue, and the weight of responsibility early in my career.
Alongside my professional roles, I was also building a life at home as a wife and mother. Learning to juggle patient care, leadership responsibilities, and family life came with real sacrifices—missed moments, constant recalibration, and the pressure to be present in all spaces at once. That season taught me the importance of boundaries, grace, and intentionality.
As a woman stepping into leadership, I also had to learn how to trust my voice, advocate for myself, and lead with confidence without losing compassion.
Those challenges ultimately shaped how I lead today. They deepened my empathy, strengthened my resilience, and clarified my purpose—to create care models that are ethical, sustainable, and supportive not only for patients, but for the families and professionals who care for them.
