Inspiring Conversations with Eldriana Eady of Delicately Styled

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eldriana Eady.

Hi Eldriana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started doing hair at 18, pregnant, fresh out of high school, juggling college online full time while working at Walmart full time. Hair wasn’t my priority at first, it was something I did on the side, braiding in between shifts just to make extra money. Over time, Walmart started to feel like a ceiling, I was extremely stressed and unhappy. So unhappy that I took a leap of faith, I quit my job while I was literally in labor with my first daughter, with no backup plan.

For about six months, I was a stay-at-home mom with no income. That season forced me to get honest with myself. I realized that if I was going to be happy, I had to take my talent seriously. I began intentionally promoting my hair business, treating it like more than a hobby. As my clientele grew, so did their needs. Clients started requesting services that required more credentials, so I made the decision to make my business official by forming an LLC.

When it became clear that leveling up meant formal training, I stepped away from traditional college and enrolled in cosmetology school. After graduating, I found out I was pregnant with my second daughter. Still determined, I pushed forward and took the practical portion of my licensure exam at eight months pregnant. Two weeks after receiving my license, I gave birth, and just three weeks later, I was back at work.

That decision changed everything. I’ve yet to experience a true slow season. Even after moving cities, I’ve been blessed with a consistent, diverse, and all-inclusive clientele that has supported me for over six years, allowing me to do hair full-time without ever returning to a 9–5.

Today, I’m currently on maternity leave after welcoming my first son on Christmas Eve 2025. Even in this pause, my clients continue to check on me, reminding me they’ll be right back in my chair when I return. That support means everything. My journey has never been linear, but it’s been fueled by faith, resilience, and the belief that betting on yourself, especially when it’s scary, can completely change your life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No since taking my business seriously , I have given birth two more times and enrolled in school twice.

We’ve been impressed with Delicately Styled, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is centered on creating a safe, welcoming space for clients of all ages and backgrounds. I specialize in protective styles and textured hair care, and I proudly serve children as young as one, including neurodivergent kids and adults. What truly sets me apart is the patience, care, and understanding I bring to every appointment. My chair is a judgment-free zone where everyone feels seen and respected.

Beyond the service, I focus on long-term hair health. I offer the same professional hair care products I use on my clients for continued use at home, along with bonnets, durags, silk scarves, and satin-lined beanies to help protect styles and maintain healthy hair between visits.

I’m most proud of the loyal, diverse community I’ve built. Even after moving cities and navigating major life changes, my clients continue to support me and show up. That trust means everything. My goal is simple: for every client to leave feeling confident, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My clients and all of their referrals and support.
