Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Wynn.
Hi Jacob, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey with Knock AI began from firsthand experience seeing how outdated, inefficient, and fragmented grassroots outreach had become. Campaigns and organizations were still relying on manual systems, juggling multiple vendors, and struggling with compliance—while millions of gig workers were looking for flexible, meaningful ways to earn income. I realized there was a massive opportunity to build something that could solve both problems at once.
I founded Knock AI Technologies to modernize outreach using artificial intelligence and gig-economy infrastructure. The idea was simple but powerful: build a platform that helps campaigns and organizations reach people smarter and faster, while empowering workers with paid, on-demand canvassing opportunities. What started as a concept quickly evolved into a working MVP, early pilot contracts, and a growing team of partners and advisors who shared the vision.
Getting to this stage hasn’t been easy—it’s required persistence, creativity, and the ability to turn challenges into growth opportunities. We’ve raised early capital, established strategic partnerships, and proven that AI-driven canvassing can make outreach both more efficient and more inclusive. Today, Knock AI is positioned to scale nationally, and I’m proud that what began as an idea to make civic engagement smarter has become a platform that creates real economic opportunity for communities everywhere
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped how Knock AI operates today. Building a civic-tech company meant navigating constant changes in policy, data compliance, and platform requirements from companies like Google and Apple. As a founder, I also faced the hurdles of limited early funding, balancing technical development with operational demands, and building trust in an emerging market that blends technology with community work.
There were moments where progress felt slow—especially when aligning technical teams, securing partnerships, and refining the product to meet real-world needs. But those obstacles forced us to become more efficient, resourceful, and mission-focused. Every setback became a lesson in adaptability and perseverance. Today, those experiences have helped create a stronger company foundation, a more reliable product, and a clearer vision for how Knock AI can continue growing and serving both organizations and workers.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Knock AI Technologies is a civic-tech and SaaS company that’s redefining how organizations connect with communities. We specialize in AI-powered outreach—helping campaigns, advocacy groups, and businesses target households with precision, assign optimized canvassing routes, and track engagement in real time. At the same time, we create flexible, paid opportunities for local gig workers, bridging technology with economic empowerment.
What sets Knock AI apart is our dual-impact model: we’re not just building software, we’re building infrastructure for smarter engagement and fairer work. While most outreach tools focus on data or volunteer management, we’ve combined both sides into one platform—offering end-to-end automation for organizations and real earning potential for workers. It’s a system designed to make outreach faster, smarter, and more human.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud of being mission-driven. Knock AI isn’t just another app; it’s a platform built to strengthen civic participation and local economies. We want readers to know that our technology is designed to empower people—from campaign managers trying to reach voters efficiently to everyday individuals looking for flexible income that contributes to their community. We believe the future of outreach is intelligent, inclusive, and impact-driven—and Knock AI is leading that transformation.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t defined only by revenue or valuation—it’s measured by impact, growth, and integrity. Success means seeing campaigns and organizations reach people more effectively because of the tools we’ve built, and seeing gig workers earn flexible, reliable income that improves their lives. It’s about creating something that lasts—technology that empowers communities, builds trust, and opens doors for opportunity.
At Knock AI, success is also about perseverance: staying true to our mission even when the path isn’t easy. If we can build a platform that helps organizations connect better, strengthens civic engagement, and uplifts local economies, then we’ve succeeded far beyond business metrics.
