Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamiere Shagwell.
Hi Jamiere, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My first start was in May 2007 as an intern in Street promotional with DTP Records. I was 17 for the first time living in Georgia, and I witnessed the music changing rapidly in the city of Atlanta. I lived in Atlanta for three years, networking in recording studios and reaching out to Executives and managers for advice; in 2010, I received a job opportunity in New York City, one of four finalists for the Truth Summer tour. I never received a callback, so I decided to Live in New York City to pursue my music career. 2011 I use to wake up 6 am and send emails to every record label in Tri-State Area. I received a call from Geter K Vp A&R @ Maybach Music Group. We met in person, and my management career started.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been smooth. It’s very difficult finding a new artist with talent and personal life balance nowadays. Some artists don’t have no accountability for their actions. It’s been struggles but success on this music journey.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are full-service management & record label. We establish relationships with Liquor Brands Indie Label Distribution companies for each artist currently signed to us. We have artist development, studio writing, and recording sessions. Live feedback from record label A&R in our studio sessions in Atlanta, GA. Our services provide artist bookings nationwide. We provide behind-the-scenes resources and knowledge to each artist on our roster so they are fully aware of the daily news and Information in the music business.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Music will change again. New Sound New Wave
