Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarvis Chaney.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Started business in 2002 . Was selling drugs at 1st when we started . Had a mentor from heaven stop by and showed be everything about tires and wheel repair for free. My business is located on the same street I grew up on selling drugs . So I wanted to create tire and wheel repair shop in my neighborhood that has quality equipment and reasonable prices right in my neighborhood. I’m creating a Buckhead experience on glenwood rd in the hood . Now that business has growed I’ve founded Jays Impact Center which is my purpose for life. Jays impact is a nonprofit that focuses on youth 14-21 where we help them with career development. I understand that every kid won’t or can go to college but all deserve to be successful so we guide kids into entrepreneurship or trade schools as well as encourage them to be great. Jays impact was founded in 2018. We have kids that’s started their own business and we are currently mentoring them just as my mentor did for me before he passed. Everything for jays impact is free because that’s the way I received it . I also believe in giving back and have big heart for the homeless and less fortunate. I take my boys the last Friday of each month to feed the homeless the maintain our humbleness .
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not a smooth road. Life is gonna be life regardless. Good employees, finances , always having to be there, issues that arise , employees, ect ect …. All these are struggles but I’ve learned to manage because they will always be there.
We’ve been impressed with Jays Tire And Wheel Repair and Jays impact center , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We sell new tires , wheel alignment, wheel repair , and powder coating . We care about our customers time so we offer in and out service if you book an appointment. WE SELL Convenience unlike our competitors. We offer all our services with same day service so that you can keep living life.
Jays impact
We mentor kids 14-21 in career development. All kids want to attend college. so we guide them into entrepreneurship and trade schools. We exposed kids to trades that they have never thought about. Through our metal ship, we teach them about the importance of taxes, business practices, mental health, and being at all around good man.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I like that Atlanta is the city of opportunity.. if you want to be successful, this is a good place to be .
