Inspiring Conversations with Jasamina Greenville of Cover Me In Chocolate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasamina Greenville.

Hi Jasamina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the owner of cover me in chocolate. I started doing treats for potlucks when I was in college for massage therapy and for girls’ night, I would make dipped fruit. And I would also make dipped strawberries for my little cousin’s birthday parties, that was something that I liked doing, at the time I wasn’t thinking about making it a career I was just doing it for the fun of it. And that was back in 2010. In 2015, I posted some Reese chocolate covered strawberries for a co-working and they went viral so that’s when I began to really get in deep with dipped treats and I started taking orders, when I did start doing strawberries, I was doing candy bar, and cereal chocolate berries that was my thing I had to come different, Than I started doing stuffed cheesecake strawberries and cheesecake/Dessert Jars, and Cheesecakes. In 2017, I Came up with a name and got my LLC and it’s been up ever since. I feel like I’m getting better every year and different with my dessert, and I’ve also added cookies and Brownies to my business, so you get a lil bit of everything at COVER ME IN CHOCOLATE!!! And one day we will have a building, Or Truck. I also want to give a BIG SHOUTOUT to my Supporters , Especially The ones that stayed down with me when times got hard. THANK YOU for supporting me. I LOVE YALL!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly NO!! This year was the hardest year of my business and the slowest it’s ever been since I’ve been in business. It would be days were I only get 5 customers and days were I would get more than 5 so my business really struggled this year. so no, it has not been a smooth road at all, but it is trying to pick back up I have been busy with my online orders and personal orders.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Cover me in chocolate was created in 2017 and we are known for our cheesecakes, dipped strawberries, cookies, cupcakes and more. You get a little of everything here. We are always making different desserts. Desserts nobody has ever seen, that’s what makes us different from others. We always coming with something new on the menu this gives the customers/supporters opinions on what they would like. We don’t do the same things as everyone else. Every day you get something different it’s never the same thing. I also let my supporters pick what they would like to have on the menu for the week sometimes, like I would ask them on social media what they would like and they would write me and let me know. So that helps me put stuff on the menu that they like also. We do have delivery available. And we also have a website now. We are shipping our cookies I’m excited about that because now the world can taste them. I’m really excited to see where this goes. I love seeing my supporters smiling when they come and pick they order up that makes me happy to see them happy that they get cover me in chocolate. i can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
