Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Luntz.
Hi Jason, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in Roselle, NJ, my life was a tapestry of cultures and perspectives, stitched together by the experiences of my Black Christian mother and my White Jewish father. Their diverse backgrounds imparted in me the importance of understanding, adaptability, and the value of diverse narratives.
When I made the move to Nashville, TN in 2007, it wasn’t just a change of location. It was a pivot in my journey, a melding of my East Coast foundation with the genuine warmth and entrepreneurial spirit of the South. This dynamic blend sharpened my sense of purpose and my professional vision.
I’ve always been attuned to the evolving digital landscape and recognized the transformative power of media relations. Over the years, I navigated my way through various facets of the media industry – from journalism to web design and from social media management to event planning. Each experience not only honed my skills but deepened my commitment to making a difference.
On March 1, 2016, that commitment took the form as UrVoyce: New Media Agency. My aim? To democratize the world of marketing. I wanted to bridge the gap, ensuring small and medium businesses could stand tall, wielding the same powerful tools and strategies that giants in the industry took for granted.
Today, my journey has brought me here to a place where my past and present converge, where every strategy discussion, content brainstorm, or design session is fueled by my passion and my unique blend of experiences. From the streets of Roselle to the heart of Nashville, this ride has been nothing short of incredible.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
To be candid, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. At times navigating the entrepreneurial journey has often felt like trying to find my way through a dense fog without a clear path ahead.
One of the most prominent struggles was adapting to the rapidly changing digital landscape. Just when you think you’ve gotten a handle on one platform or strategy, the next big thing comes along, and the game changes. This constant evolution meant that I often found myself at the crossroads of adaptation and innovation, striving to not just keep up but to lead.
Financial hurdles were another reality. Starting UrVoyce: New Media Agency with the mission of helping small and medium businesses, meant that every dollar counted. Balancing the books while ensuring the quality of services was no small feat.
Navigating the world of media relations also had its set of challenges. Building credibility, fostering genuine connections, and ensuring my clients always had a seat at the table required a balance of tenacity, patience, and genuine passion.
But here’s the silver lining: every challenge, every late night, every learning curve – they all forged me into a more resilient entrepreneur. Each struggle was a lesson, a stepping stone to where I am today. And while the road had its bumps, the view from where I stand now? Absolutely worth it.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Oh man, Camp Ockanickon in Medford, New Jersey! Those summers were the real deal. Every year, I’d be there, hanging out with a mix of my old pals and making new friends. It wasn’t just about the fun stuff we did, though don’t get me wrong, that was a blast. It was more about the whole experience of being away from home, meeting different folks, and figuring out a bit more about myself each time.
Honestly, it’s those simple moments at camp – joking around a campfire, trying to paddle a canoe without tipping over, or just chatting with someone new – that helped shape who I am. It taught me so much, from how to get along with all sorts of people to understand myself a bit better. And hey, looking back now, I realize those days at Ockanickon were like a mini crash course in life, wrapped up in some killer summer vibes.
