Hi Jerrica, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Space Design Company began in my junior year of college. I was assigned a final exam project to create a detailed business model for my future company. Later that evening, while visiting my mother, I decided to sit outside and listen to some music on my headphones while brainstorming ideas for my project. Suddenly, I began to feel myself floating into a deep state of meditation. There, I received a vision download of owning my own interior design company, called The Space. As I began to write down and manifest this vision, I felt the emotions of my dream coming to fruition. At that very moment, the beginning of The Space Design Company was created.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When starting anything new, you will face obstacles, challenges, and adversity. The key is to remain balanced in a mental state of gratitude. The number one challenge I find myself facing is balancing my business life and personal life. I tend to overwork myself and neglect self-care. To help myself remain balanced in all areas of my life. I have created a daily self-check list with scheduled relaxation activities, work tasks, and personal time to keep me focused, calm, and relaxed. I highly recommend all my future entrepreneurs establish a balanced routine to keep themselves motivated and moving forward while achieving their goals.
