Inspiring Conversations with Joshua Gomez of Power Fix Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Gomez.

Joshua, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey has definitely taken some unexpected—and incredibly rewarding—turns.

I started my career in public service, working as a 911 dispatcher and later as a Law Enforcement Technician with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. It was intense, meaningful work that taught me the value of calm under pressure, attention to detail, and clear communication—skills that have stayed with me in everything I’ve done since.

After more than a decade in that world, I felt the pull to build something of my own. That led to the creation of Power Fix Solutions, a company focused on bringing wellness and convenience into high-stress environments like law enforcement offices, government buildings, and now, luxury residential communities. We specialize in fully-managed micro markets that offer 24/7 access to healthier snacks, beverages, and essentials—making people’s day-to-day lives just a little easier.

Recently, I expanded my work into the field of private investigations. After completing the Georgia Private Detective Pre-Licensing Course and becoming licensed, I’ve started offering discreet, professional investigative services—a natural next step that builds on my background in public safety, surveillance, and compliance.

At the core of everything I do is a commitment to service—whether it’s helping a client solve a case, improving a workplace environment, or simply showing up when it matters. It’s been a winding road, but every step has led me closer to work that feels meaningful and purpose-driven.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not even close to a smooth road—but I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful.

Starting a business, especially after coming from a structured public service background, was a massive shift. There’s no playbook, no guaranteed paycheck, and no one telling you what to do next. It forced me to get uncomfortable, to make decisions with limited information, and to learn by doing—sometimes the hard way.

One of the biggest challenges was balancing vision with reality. When you launch something like Power Fix Solutions, you have this ideal version of how things should go. But then you face things like equipment failures, supply chain issues, slow seasons, and the trial-and-error of figuring out what your clients actually need—not just what you think they want.

Even stepping into private investigations came with its own learning curve. Despite my background, there’s always a difference between classroom training and real-world field work. There were moments of self-doubt, moments of uncertainty, but I kept showing up. That consistency mattered.

Looking back, every challenge has shaped me into a more thoughtful, resilient business owner—and made the wins feel that much more rewarding. I’ve learned that success isn’t about avoiding obstacles; it’s about pushing through them with purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Power Fix Solutions is a Georgia-based business focused on bringing wellness, convenience, and community into the places people spend the most time—workplaces and residential communities. We specialize in custom micro markets that offer 24/7 access to healthier snacks, drinks, and essentials, all fully managed so our clients don’t have to lift a finger.

What sets us apart is how deeply we understand the environments we serve. My background in law enforcement and public safety gives me a firsthand appreciation for how vital small conveniences can be in high-stress settings. Whether it’s a shift worker needing fuel at midnight, a resident craving something quick without leaving the building, or an office team trying to create a more wellness-focused workplace—we make sure people are taken care of.

We’re proud to work with a diverse range of clients, from law enforcement agencies and government offices to luxury apartments and mid-rise communities, and we tailor every market to the needs of that specific space. No two setups are exactly alike, because no two communities are alike.

What I’m most proud of is our community-first mindset. We partner with local vendors, support Georgia-based producers like Pure Sprout Microgreens and Stuckey’s, and donate a portion of our profits to nonprofits—including those supporting first responders and K9 units. It’s not just about what’s on the shelves; it’s about how we show up for the people we serve.

At its core, Power Fix Solutions is about making life a little easier, healthier, and more human, one market at a time.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best part of this journey has been the relationships we’ve built along the way—so I’m always open to connecting with people who align with what we’re doing or who simply want to learn more.

If you’re a property manager, business owner, or community leader looking to enhance your space with a custom micro market, I’d love to talk about how Power Fix Solutions can help. We handle everything—from setup to stocking to maintenance—so our partners can focus on what they do best.

If you’re a local vendor or Georgia-based business with a product that fits our mission of wellness and convenience, we’re always looking to feature fresh, high-quality items in our markets.

And if you just believe in what we’re doing—supporting healthier workplaces and communities—you can always help by sharing our story, making introductions, or just connecting with us online.
