Inspiring Conversations with Key’Shun Holmes of Rich Royal USA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Key’Shun Holmes.

Hi Key’Shun, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Rich Royal in June of 2018. Initially, I did not have a business plan nor any guidance on how to pursue a business. I learned everything I know along the way through trial and error. Luckily, I was able to gain a mentor who owns a multi-million dollar brand. The best advice he gave me was to “get out in the streets” and push my brand – by way of setting up a booth wherever a crowd would be and pushing my brand. It definitely worked! After months of doing it, reinvesting and consistently putting out content, we began to grow our following and get celebrities to wear our brand. Which ultimately helped us get to where we are now.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, the journey has not been as hard as you may think. Of course, it hasn’t been all peaches and cream, but I learned quickly that if I continuously apply the knowledge I’m gaining from my failures, I can grow a lot faster. The biggest struggle has been getting more customers, which really isn’t a struggle if you’re actively building on your brand every single day.

As you know, we’re big fans of Rich Royal USA. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
As a company, we like to use our platform to encourage our supporters to expand their comfort zone. We often create designs around our message to promote our purpose through clothing. We want everyone to know that there’s so much more beyond what you can see in the beginning if you take risks and step out on faith in anything you do.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see us getting our own manufacturing company overseas to maximize on production. It’s hard to say what I really see us doing come that time because we’ve grown at a rapid rate since we started.
