Hi Kia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born a DC Native, raised in PG county MD I find myself very diverse! I know how to hold a great business conversation with the best of them; yet also keep myself relatable to people of all walks of life. My journey to becoming “your Favorite Inspirational Roqkstar,” was no cake walk! I’ve been incarcerated, hospitalized, and so much more. My gratitude to the Most high and my resilience have led me to a place where people trust me and support me because of just that! Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t believe a smooth road is plausible for what I do. Every person who I’ve inspired, I shared a relatable traumatic experience that they could connect with! Those experiences were tough ones that built a kindness and compassion that I gained from leaning how much grace was over my life! I’ve struggled mentally which led me to multiple mental health hospitalizations, which led me to learn and to lead with mental health! I’ve struggled financially which taught me moderation, investing, and innovation! And I’ve struggled with love and balancing what it takes to push through and what it takes to give and receive love all simultaneously! It’s character building, run towards the less smooth road it will smooth out some of your blemishes!

Roqkstar Crew Media LLC, is an entertainment and production company. We believe that entertainment can be empowering and inspiring and that’s what we aim to showcase! In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think media changes so drastically with AI and the way anyone can learn anything, it saturates the market so I always suggest keeping up with the trends. We don’t love AI but it is here and it is actually a great tool so I suggest all media people to become familiar with AI and adapt to it rather than thinking it’s going away!
