Inspiring Conversations with Kiana Carter of Kiana Carter, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiana Carter.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
So my journey into real estate wasn’t one of those stories where I always knew I wanted to be a realtor. Actually, when my mom first suggested it to me, I brushed it off. I didn’t think I really had what it took. I thought you had to know all the right people, come from money, or already have connections. And at that time, life was life-ing I was in school, working jobs that weren’t fulfilling me… and then I ended up getting fired from one of them. And that moment right there felt like a reset. I decided to give real estate a real shot. But I didn’t have guidance at first. I was reaching out, asking for mentorship, trying to learn — and a lot of people ignored me. And that didn’t feel good. But then God aligned me with someone who saw something in me before I even saw it in myself my mentor, my sister and my friend, River. She didn’t just teach me the business, she helped me see my own potential. And I always say, I didn’t start off perfect. I didn’t know everything. I just kept showing up. And in a business where most people say you shouldn’t expect to sell anything in your first year… I sold over $1 million in real estate my first year. Then I turned around and sold $2 million my second year. I didn’t do that because I “had it all together.” I did that because I was hungry, I was consistent, and I refused to give up on myself. Fast-forward to now: I’m 24, a full-time realtor, balancing life, clients, and still growing every day. I’ve helped people relocate, lease, purchase, and begin building the life they really want. I’ve sold over $3M in real estate, built relationships that mean something, and created a business that’s actually mine not just a job I go to. That’s really what my ebook FULLTIME at 23 is about. It’s not just a success story it’s my real story. The moments where I didn’t feel confident. The doubts. The curveballs life threw. The lessons that built me. I wrote it for the girl who has the vision but not the blueprint yet because I remember exactly what that felt like. You don’t have to come from connections. You don’t have to know everything to start. You just need willingness, consistency, and a little bit of belief even if you have to borrow that belief from somebody else at first. That’s how I got here. Not by being perfect… but by choosing to bet on myself and staying committed when it was hard.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. The part that looks good now came with a lot of behind-the-scenes growth. In the beginning, I struggled with confidence feeling like I was too young and that people wouldn’t take me seriously. I also had those quiet seasons where I wasn’t closing deals back-to-back and I had to mentally push through that because it’s just something apart of the industry I’m in. And going from a steady paycheck to commission-only was an adjustment in itself. Honestly, I still have obstacles that pop up. The difference now is I’m just more equipped to handle them. I’ve built up stronger faith, better discipline, and I know how to ground myself when things get challenging. The hard seasons didn’t stop I just learned how to move through them instead of letting them stop me.

As you know, we’re big fans of Kiana Carter, Inc.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I run my own real estate business, helping people buy, sell, and lease homes across Georgia. I work with all kinds of clients first-time buyers, investors, people relocating, and lease clients looking for a place that really fits their lifestyle. What sets me apart is how personal I get with my clients. I guide them through every step; touring homes or apartments, negotiating, and handling financing or lease details. I don’t just help people find a place. At the core, my brand is about making real estate approachable, simple, and even enjoyable. Whether you’re buying, leasing, or investing, I’m here to make it easy and to show up fully for every client.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned that confidence comes from action, not perfection so take the first step, keep going and trust yourself as you go. Always be growing!
