Hi Kisha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Like many other women of color, I struggled with finding an edge control solution that would sustain and hold throughout the day. As a result, I would often find myself not having the confidence to display my natural edges. That feeling was something that drove me to find a better solution for all women that dealt with this same challenge.
After years of tedious research and testing, the ‘Kisha K. Collection’ line of hair care products was established in 2019. These products are of the highest quality ingredients, 100% all-natural, organic, and easy to apply and use. I have had overwhelming success the last two years and have developed an extremely loyal and equally passionate customer base.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Losing my mother to congestive heart failure five months after starting my business. She was my motivation and the only one in the family excited/happy for me. She became ill after my brother was murdered a year before that.
