Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiuana Dean.
Hi Kiuana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Before real estate, I was working a corporate job in Downtown Atlanta. On paper everything looked fine but deep down I knew I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. I wanted to be in a field where I could truly help people not just show up and collect a paycheck. I prayed and asked the Lord to place me where I belonged. Instead of things getting easier they seemed to get harder. I now understand that discomfort was part of my redirection. I shared these feelings with my mom telling her how strongly I felt that my job wasn’t for me and that I needed a career change. One morning she came downstairs and told me that God had spoken to her and said I needed to get into real estate. I was shocked. I had never pictured myself in that career. It wasn’t something I had planned or even considered. I didn’t move on it immediately. I took it back to prayer asking for confirmation and clarity. When I received peace in my spirit I signed up and began the process. Even then it felt overwhelming. Real estate was a completely foreign language to me. I hadn’t finished my classes, I hadn’t passed my state exam and I had nothing lined up I was questioning was this really for me. Then came the hardest instruction of all. I felt the Lord telling me to quit my job. I questioned it deeply. It didn’t make sense. I wasn’t “ready” by any logical standard but I chose obedience over comfort even when it felt risky and uncertain. During that season God also made something clear to me. He told me I would be different. Not like every agent. Not in a way that makes the work look easy but in a way that would require endurance, discipline and heart. And He was right. Real estate has changed my life in ways I never expected. Mentally, I’ve grown. My attitude is different. The way I spend my time is different. Even today I still face challenges but I no longer lose sight of my purpose. My role in this business is not just to be dedicated but to treat people with care, integrity and genuine love. I believe every client deserves to be seen, heard and guided with honesty. Looking back I can honestly say that everything I thought I lost and every challenge I faced along this journey helped build endurance in my business. It shaped how I serve how I show up and how I value people. For me it has never been about transactions alone It has always been about relationships and showing people that there are people in this world that truly want to see you happy.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has not been smooth. One of the biggest lessons I learned early on is that being an entrepreneur does not automatically mean freedom. Freedom is earned. Every transaction is not guaranteed and neither is a paycheck. That reality forces you to develop discipline quickly. Another challenge was learning how to manage my time and performance without anyone overseeing my work. There is no manager checking in, no clock to punch and no one setting expectations for you as much as you do for yourself. You are responsible for showing up consistently, holding yourself accountable and making sure your work meets a high standard every day.I also had to learn how to navigate uncertainty, delayed gratification and rejection. Not every lead turns into a client and not every deal makes it to the closing table. There were moments that tested my confidence and patience but those moments strengthened my endurance. Balancing faith, personal life and business was another learning curve. Entrepreneurship requires mental strength, emotional maturity and the ability to stay grounded during seasons that feel unstable. Each challenge pushed me to grow, sharpen my decision making and build resilience.Through it all I learned that consistency, stewardship and integrity matter more than quick wins. The challenges didn’t break me. They shaped how I operate, how I serve clients and how seriously I take the responsibility of this business.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I am most proud of the way my business prioritizes relationships not just results. What I am known for is not pressure or speed but presence. I am known for being calm, honest and consistent even when a deal becomes challenging. I don’t disappear when things get complicated and I don’t push clients into decisions that don’t align with their goals. I take the time to listen, explain and advocate which allows my clients to feel supported rather than sold to. That approach has become the foundation of my brand. I believe integrity shows up in the small unseen decisions and I operate my business with that mindset every day.
Alongside real estate, I am the founder of Dance To 3:20 a passion based business I built from the ground up. Dance has always been a core part of who I am my biggest WHY and I am actively working to incorporate that passion into my real estate journey in meaningful ways. The creativity, leadership and discipline required to build Dance To 3:20 strengthen how I show up professionally and allow me to connect with people beyond traditional business settings. Faith is the foundation of how I live and work. I believe faith is shown through perseverance, integrity and treating people right especially when it is difficult. There have been seasons that required pushing forward with emotional growth and resilience but those experiences built endurance and shaped how I serve others. I want readers to know that purpose matters deeply to me. I am committed to treating people with care, honesty and respect and to building a business rooted in trust. Relationships will always matter more to me than transactions and my goal is to leave every client feeling supported, valued and confident long after the deal is complete. Like I always say give me 1% of your trust and I promise to gain the other 99%.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Growth rarely looks perfect. Purpose doesn’t always come with clarity and faith doesn’t mean the journey will be easy. It means you keep going even when it’s uncomfortable, uncertain or requires more patience than you expected. Whether you’re pursuing a new career, building something of your own or simply trying to take the next right step, I want to encourage people not to quit just because the process is hard. Progress often comes quietly, through consistency, discipline and showing up on the days when motivation is low. I believe in treating people with with integrity and trusting that what is meant for you will align in time. If you’re in a season of stretching or waiting know that it’s not wasted. Purpose has a way of revealing itself when you stay faithful, keep pushing and choose to do things the right way. My hope is that anyone who reads this feels encouraged to keep going, to honor their purpose and to move forward with courage and grace.
