Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyara Lombre.
Hi Kyara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been photographing for over ten years now. I have formal education in television and film and my passion has always been to help others tell their stories. By striving to do that, I’ve always been able to capture amazing portraits of people. I made the leap of faith one day and quit my job with MPT as an Associate Producer and started my own company, Lab House Studios, formerly Lab House Productions.
Today I am a travel photographer, photographing clients for business or personal use. I was able achieve the success I have today by persistence and building relationships.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. COVID-19 really disrupted my business. I basically became bankrupt and lost faith because the world had to shut down. However, after prayer and discipline, I was able to recover and gain momentum again. I had to pivot and start an online photography program to keep my business afloat. I feel that allowed me to think beyond my physical talents and expand my reach through virtual education for creatives.
We’ve been impressed with Lab House Studios, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lab House Studios was birthed to create a premium experience for individuals looking for Contemporary and Modern storytelling through visual mediums. Whether photography or videography, Lab House Studios strives to make their work beautiful, simplistic, clean and memorable :). The goal is to tell stories through their client’s lens and leave them with unforgettable images or videos that will last a lifetime! Currently, we serve the DMV & ATL communities for photography and 60 second brand videos.
