Hi Labrena, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Being born and raised in a small town (country), we are limited to resources and knowledge. Once I graduated high school and moved to the city. I was exposed to so much where I was in cultural shock., which was a good thing. The unfamiliar environment forced me to learn and adapt. After graduating from college, I moved back to my hometown, Clewiston Florida, and became a high school teacher. I was driven to bring awareness and real-world preparations to my students. That way they will not feel left behind or out of place if they were to move to the city. Many teenagers are smart and think they are ready to take on the world, but too often people are defeated and do not know how to regain their power. I wanted to give the youth the power and motivation to succeed in life. Which led me to create Her Movement a youth mentoring program, and Better You Solutions a life coaching consultant.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No journey is smooth. If anyone said success came to them easily, something is not right. There is always obstacles and learning curves along the way. The obstacles are what makes business/ life great. Live and learn … then move forward.
