Today we’d like to introduce you to LaQuinda Johnson.
Thank you so much for agreeing to share your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My experience as an educator span over 15 years. I recognize how critical it is to help scholars acquire the skills they need to be successful in the future.
My journey began with an accident that occurred on May 5, 2018. During this incident, my vehicle drifted out of gear and rolled onto my thigh. As a result of this, I suffered bumps and bruises on my elbows and knees as well as a lot of fluid collecting around my left upper thigh.
In my bedridden state, I was flooded with get-well wishes and return requests from students, parents, teachers, and community leaders (affectionately known as Educational Ambassadors). After this, I was inspired to create an organization that would elevate the educational landscape with unparalleled tutoring services, professional development, coaching, and more, to fill the gaps that education has traditionally failed to fill to keep up with today’s demands for an education that have become increasingly important.
Finally, on September 18, 2018, my dream became a reality as Ladiquin Enterprise was officially incorporated. LQE is an international education consulting agency that serves educational ambassadors while providing high-quality educational services.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – overall, has it been an easy path and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Numerous factors have contributed to the difficulties encountered on this journey. Initially, I had to accept the fact that my regular income as a teacher would cease once I stepped away from the classroom to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. As the CEO / Founder, I perform several duties, responsibilities, and tasks, some of which encompass hiring, delegation, and fundraising. Additionally, ensuring that I maintain a healthy balance between work and family life. This is essential because I am a homeschooling mom of a seven-year-old vending boss (entrepreneur).
