Inspiring Conversations with Latashanna Ransom of Ransom Lux Solutions And CO.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latashanna Ransom.

Hi Latashanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Honestly, my story starts way before I ever knew what success even looked like. I was born premature to a 16-year-old single mom in Laurel, Mississippi — and from day one, life made it clear it wouldn’t be easy. The doctors had already counted me out, saying I might not make it, or that if I did, I wouldn’t develop like other kids. They told my mom to label me disabled just to make ends meet, but she refused. She told them, “We’ll struggle before we settle,” and that became the foundation of my life.

Growing up, I watched my mom hustle , no excuses, no shortcuts , just pure faith and grind. That’s where I got my resilience from. I always knew I wanted to be seen, to use my voice, and for a long time I thought that meant being on TV. I went to college for journalism and communications because I wanted to be a news anchor, a reporter , I saw myself telling stories that mattered. But that’s not what God had planned for me.

When I started applying for those jobs, they wanted me to change everything, my image, my hair, even the way I talked. Basically, they wanted me to fit into a box that didn’t reflect who I was or where I came from. And deep down, I knew I couldn’t build a future pretending to be someone else.

So, I pivoted. I remember charging $40 for consultations during the pandemic, just helping small businesses and creators figure out how to show up online. I didn’t have it all figured out, but I had a vision. Then, I took a leap of faith and moved to Atlanta and that changed everything. What I thought I lost when I walked away from that news anchor path, God gave back to me ten times over through my business.

Now, I get to tell stories every day, just in a different way. Whether it’s helping brands build their online presence, working with creatives, or managing campaigns for names like Milano Di Rouge, Daisy Does My Hair, or The Biz Lawyer, it’s still storytelling, just through strategy and visuals instead of a teleprompter.

Everything people see about me on social media, the creativity, the business, the faith, the consistency, it all came from that same foundation my mom laid years ago. I’m proof that even if life doesn’t go how you planned, it can still go exactly how it’s meant to.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been smooth. It gets lonely at the top sometimes, and honestly, I’m still figuring it out as I go. Building something from the ground up —without a blueprint, without a safety net is scary. I’ve never seen it done before in my world, so most of the time I’m trusting God and betting on myself.

The hardest part hasn’t been the work itself, it’s been the in-between the waiting seasons, the moments where you question if you’re doing enough, if you’re really built for this. I’ve had to learn how to keep showing up even when things weren’t clicking, even when support was quiet.

There’s also a lot of pressure that comes with being “the strong one,” the one everyone calls when they need advice or inspiration. But sometimes, I need a refill too. That’s been one of my biggest lessons learning how to pour back into myself and give myself grace while I’m building.

But even with all that, it’s worth it. Every challenge has taught me something. Every no led me to a better yes. I may not have seen this path before, but I know I’m walking in purpose now and that’s the part that keeps me going.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ransom Lux Solutions And CO.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m the founder and creative director behind Rich Luxe Solutions & Co., a social media and brand strategy agency that helps entrepreneurs, beauty professionals, and lifestyle brands show up online with confidence, creativity, and clarity.
What I do goes way beyond posting content — I help people find their voice, create a brand identity that feels like them, and build marketing strategies that actually convert. I specialize in social media strategy, content creation, email and SMS marketing, and creative direction for campaigns. My clients come to me when they’re ready to stop winging it and start building something real and lasting.

But what really sets my agency apart is how we bridge the gap between influencers and entrepreneurs. We don’t just build brands — we build collaborations. I help connect creatives with business owners who align with their image, message, and audience, so both sides can grow through authentic partnerships. I’ve seen how powerful collaboration can be, and I wanted to create a space where those relationships actually make sense and lead to real opportunities.
I’ve had the privilege of working with brands like Milano Di Rouge, Daisy Does My Hair, and The Biz Lawyer, helping them execute creative campaigns and social strategies that not only look good but work. I also create digital products that teach entrepreneurs how to build a brand that attracts visibility, opportunity, and influence.

What I’m most proud of is that I built this from scratch no investors, no shortcuts — just faith, vision, and consistency. I started with $40 consultations during the pandemic, and now my agency manages multiple brands, builds influencer collaborations, and helps clients position themselves in rooms they once dreamed about.

At the end of the day, Rich Luxe Solutions & Co. is more than a marketing agency — it’s a brand built on transformation, connection, and purpose. I’m in the business of helping people see what’s possible for themselves and giving them the strategy and structure to make it happen.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Atlanta is that it really feels like Black Hollywood — the energy here is different. The connections are here, the opportunities are here, and people are genuinely willing to help once you get in the right rooms. It’s a city built on hustle and collaboration, and that’s something I’d never seen back home in Mississippi. Every day feels like a chance to network, learn, and elevate. You can literally bump into someone who changes your whole life at a coffee shop or event.
What I like least? Definitely the traffic. Coming from Mississippi, where everything is slower and calmer, that was an adjustment. Atlanta moves fast — in business, in lifestyle, in pace — but I’ve learned to embrace it. The speed can be overwhelming sometimes, but it’s also what keeps me sharp and inspired.
