Today we’d like to introduce you to Luco Pierre.
Hi Luco, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, the arts captivated me more than anything else… I was that kid in school who’d finish his work early just to have free time to sketch and get lost in his art. I even skipped core curriculum classes just to sneak to the art studio and paint for days! Still, I aced my classes and earned several scholarships. In time, my passion for visual arts morphed into a passion for acting. No other line of work came close to bringing such exhilaration and fulfillment as acting. It’s euphoric!
My love for acting brought me to Georgia where I purchased my first home. Before I invest in something I value, I feel I must know everything there is pertaining to it – so by the time the transaction was done, I learned more about home buying than the average first-time homebuyer. And because houses, especially luxury houses, always struck awe to my inner-creative I always kept the real estate industry as a viable career path. Eventually, I found that the real estate and acting industries have a lot in common. I became a full-time Realtor and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. While acting is my purpose, real estate is a great means to support that end goal. I get to impact the lives of many families while establishing a trailblazing legacy! Deals don’t get much better than that!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth at all. Seeing my promised destination gleaming at the summit of mountains from afar inspired me to design five vision boards. Still, I underestimate the tricky terrains of the valleys ahead. I sometimes fail to acknowledge my need to grow through the most tumultuous of seasons to manifest my dreams.
As an actor, I am the product. I am the service. So receiving 100 noes for one yes used to feel deeply personal. Like many talents in the industry, it once made me question my worth and magnified things I was at one point not self-conscious about. Pairing those factors with being on the receiving end of irrational acts of jealousy in other areas of my life only intensified my struggle. Sometimes, my tribulations became more public than I anticipated.
But thankfully, I’ve learned to embrace it all as necessary evils to fortify my spirit and forge me into the man I need to become to achieve my life’s commitments. I’m too far in and this journey has costed me too much to stop. So like a showman, I give a show to my supporters and naysayers as I navigate through life. And as my clients undergo what is usually their largest financial transition of their lives, I’m now able to encourage them as a credible witness.
As you know, we’re big fans of Actors’ Property Agent, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I work with clients ready to buy, sell, rent, rent-to-own and invest in residential properties. As a realtor, representing my clients’ best interest and being their advocate is a duty, I take seriously. I rep mine. I go to bat for mine. Getting a home nowadays isn’t easy but it’s still very possible. Through faith, sound counsel, and smart work it’s pretty much guaranteed! You’d be surprised how many people actually want better but just don’t know any better. So the teacher in me enjoys demystifying the home buying process and showing people practical steps on how to manifest their dream.
Lastly, it doesn’t have to be a dreadful process. While it’s not all sunshine and cool breezes, I make the process as easy and fun for my clients as I can. So when we get that real estate transaction completed, we commemorate the moment with a photoshoot rolling out the red carpet as we bask in the joy of accomplishing such a major feat!
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Evolve or Die – Thankfully, I didn’t have to learn this lesson the hard way.
Rapper and mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson wrote an entire chapter titled after this lesson in his self-help book, “Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter.” Growth is synonymous to life. The two are almost interchangeable. Adaptation is the key to not just survive but to thrive. In fact, my brother has a sticker on his laptop that reads, “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.” I like that.
Whoever violates this law is bound to meet death or failure in the worst of ways. Sadly, Blockbuster is the poster child of this. Always stick to your core values, be persistent in chasing your goals, and exhibit grit in trying times. But stubbornness is not becoming of person. Stubbornness is the antithesis of this lesson. The Merriam-Webster dictionary eloquently defines stubbornness as the dogged determination of remaining rigid to one’s attitude or position on something in spite of good arguments.
I used to hate changes that I don’t initiate. I’m still working on that. But I realize I must continually evolve in my way of thinking and living if I want to be blessed with everything I’m pursuing. To evolve, I learn new things, listen to perspectives different from mine, and frequent environments where I’m far from the smartest or most talented person in the room.
