Inspiring Conversations with Manpreet Kaur of Square One Group, LLC /DBA The Goddard School, Suwanee 1

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manpreet Kaur.

Hi Manpreet, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I decided to embark on a new chapter in my life as my firstborn was about to leave the nest. It felt like the right time for something different and more fulfilling than what I had been doing. A friend suggested exploring childcare and preschool options, and I soon realized it was the best decision I could have made. I love coming to work every day, surrounded by the children and families of Johns Creek and Suwanee. The hugs from the children warm my heart, and watching them learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to provide these children with the best childhood memories possible, supported by dedicated and passionate teachers. Seeing the happy faces of my teachers and my children here at school makes it all worthwhile.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Transition and change are never easy, and the journey was a bit bumpy in the beginning. However, I was fortunate to have the unwavering support of my dedicated team. Together, we navigated challenges, including the unprecedented times of COVID-19, learning and growing every step of the way. Through collaboration, resilience, and a shared passion for early childhood education, we not only overcame obstacles but also built a strong foundation for a business. Today, we continue to work side by side, creating a nurturing, joyful, and successful environment for the children and families we serve.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Welcome to The Goddard School of Suwanee/Johns Creek, located at 4410 Johns Creek Parkway, Suwanee, GA 30024. Goddard is a nationally respected name in the preschool franchise world, known for its strong values and commitment to excellence in early childhood education.

We are proud to offer Goddard’s innovative, research-based, inquiry-driven curriculum, The Wonder of Learning, designed to nurture the natural curiosity of children from 8 weeks old through Kindergarten. This well-rounded approach ensures our children are not only school-ready but also life-ready, thanks to the enriching Life Lesson Library embedded in the program.

Personally, I find deep joy and purpose in the Life Lesson Library, which focuses on helping children express themselves, overcome shyness, build social skills, and develop responsible decision-making. These foundational lessons shape confident, kind, and capable young learners.

While every Goddard School is individually owned and operated, we all follow Goddard’s high brand standards and educational philosophy. Beyond that, I truly believe that nurturing and love come first. A child’s educational journey begins with feeling safe, supported, and cherished. At our school, we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where learning blossoms naturally through love, encouragement, and connection.

We’re honored to be a part of the Suwanee and Johns Creek communities and look forward to nurturing many bright beginnings.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that hugs truly do heal everything. 😊 While we focus on supporting children’s development every day, they end up teaching us just as much, if not more. Through their simple gestures like kind words, helping a friend, sharing toys, a smile, or a hug, they remind us that these “little things” are actually the big things in life.
