Today we’d like to introduce you to Mirandia Coger.
Hi Mirandia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Thank you so much for this opportunity to share my story. My journey began in Richmond, VA, where I was born and raised. My household was the typical two-parent household some people hope for, but that didn’t mean it didn’t have its issues. I was blessed but I also struggled with self-esteem and had difficulty making friends at a young age. Throughout middle and high school, I didn’t know if there was a purpose for my life. I didn’t even know what it was. I grew up in church, I had a relationship with God, and I knew ultimately that my life had meaning, but all the obstacles seemed to outweigh that belief. It wasn’t until 2020 that I started to experience what my purpose was. I have been a motivator to friends, family, and people I barely knew all my life. When I took inventory of my life and started reading over a prayer I wrote and hash tagged #ImGodsGirl, I realized it was part of my story and purpose. In January of 2021 the organization I’m God’s Girl was born. I am now able to help teens who have been or are currently going through the same issues that I experienced, i.e., self-esteem, rejection, and unworthiness. While launching this organization, I also was in the process of writing a book that is now published called I’m God’s Girl from Pain to Purpose. In 2022, I created a business called The Change Agency LLC. This business focuses on displaying the characteristics and performing actionable steps of a change agent. A change agent is someone who promotes positive change in an organization.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The path has not been easy, but on the other side of pain is progress. I would not trade my journey, obstacles, or experiences for anything because they continue to make me who I am today. The number one obstacle was doubting myself. I felt and continue to feel that I’m not qualified to do anything that I do. This is a process and an area I am constantly growing in. I have recently come to terms with how much I bring to the table and not because other people think so. Another challenge I experience is staying consistent throughout the process. I can have great weeks where I tackle every task with ease. Then I have other times where I am like I will get to it later. I constantly remind myself that to accomplish all I have; I can’t be the one to stand in my own way.

Building The Change Agency LLC is a way to help others enhance their business environment. I love assisting others by helping them obtain the vision and mission for their life and business. Whether in the childcare field creating manuals or procedures, in the nonprofit sector, or just someone who needs someone to walk them through a situation. I have also learned, experienced and accomplished so much because someone who has had several successful businesses invested in me and coached me.
Through my agency I have helped several organizations receive grants in the past year. I have also written donation letters to secure funding as well. I am known for obtaining financial resources, managing partnerships, and consulting. As the agency’s founder, I am invested in seeing the business and organization succeed.
What sets me apart is for the past 12 years I have been in the childcare field, so I have hands on experience. I am able to bring insight into what can help improve a daycare center. I could see a problem and offer a solution. I am looking forward to honoring these skills and learning more about what I can offer.
My most rewarding moment would be creating this agency. I took a step toward creating another legacy not just for me but for my future family. This agency is still a working progress but growing to develop what will work best for us and the business. While I have done a lot, I am working on nailing down the specifics and creating our back-end systems.

How do you think about happiness?
Many things bring me happiness, but I would say first is my relationship with Jesus Christ. He has helped keep me sane and constantly reminds me that I have so much to offer the world. In addition to that, celebrating with my friends adds happiness to my life. Seeing my friends accomplish their goals and thrive in business is a happiness that I can’t describe. Every day is new opportunity and with that I am continuing to live life to the fullest every day.
