Inspiring Conversations with Morgan Harrison of Silverbacks Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Harrison. She share her story with us below:

Silverbacks Park started at the home of the Atlanta Silverbacks semi-pro soccer team. The team no longer plays in Atlanta but the park is now a venue for multi-sport events like soccer tournaments, rugby matches, lacrosse clubs, ultimate disc events and more! Silverbacks Park also hosts its own 7v7 adult soccer leagues with Co-Ed, Men’s Open, Over 30, Over 40 and Over 50 divisions. We have a field-side bar and restaurant, Willie B’s, that adds to the experience of our leagues and events as well!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most businesses, the pandemic set the park back but as an outdoor venue we were able to recover fairly quickly. With summer on the horizon, we have big things coming up in 2022 and beyond.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the Director of Marketing and Sponsorship at Silverbacks Park.

Silverbacks Park is known for its 7v7 adult soccer leagues. We run one of the largest and most competitive in the state. Our leagues are unique because we operate our own venue, we have a bar on site, we use full-size goals, and we have different divisions within our leagues. Because of our consistency and social atmosphere we are able to cultivate a real sense of community. You come to the same place each week, play your games, walk off the field and grab a beer with your teammates. Silverbacks Park leagues curate the most perfect balance of competition and community in Atlanta. We are very proud of that.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Because of the pandemic, people are drawn to outdoor experiences. Georgia is a great state for this because if the rain is on your side you have almost nine months a year of viable weather for outdoor events, athletic or otherwise. We hope to be a big part of Atlanta’s outdoor event scene.
