Today we’d like to introduce you to Paris Gentry.
Hi Paris, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised on the west side of Chicago until the age of 11 and moved to Atlanta, GA. I’ve always been a creative person… I’ve enjoyed dancing, writing, and trying new things to create. Owning a skincare business and going to school for multimedia and graphic design was not a part of my life’s goal. When I created my business, I had one thing in mind, self-love. When I had my daughter in 2021, I experienced moments of postpartum. Building my confidence back was my main priority because I had a daughter to raise and teach. Every day I go harder than the day before to build generational wealth for her.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner has its ups and downs but that comes with being an Entrepreneur. Starting a business while working full-time and being a full-time mom and student gets pretty overwhelming. Trying to balance everything is a struggle however, with the support of my family and friends, I am able to maintain my 3.2 GPA in school and continue to build my business from the ground up.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Two Thirteen is a cosmetics business. Inspiring women to feel and be more confident. Be free in a world full of conforming and judgment. We inspire women to live more confidently, you know the saying “smell good feel good”. We are Re-launching September 18th 2022 and so excited to release our Body Works line which consists of a variety of skincare items that will rejuvenate your skin and confidence. I am proud my brand is based on authenticity and self-love, which makes it easier to provide the best products for my customers.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the fact Atlanta is a city where you can come and create an entire life for yourself. It’s an opportunity city. The thing I like the least about Atlanta is the lack of help for the homeless community.
