Hi Precious , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Precious Moorer, and I’m the proud owner of Tax Prep Block. My journey into the world of tax preparation began when I was a client myself to the owner of the tax company I franchised with. Arthur Moorer
My uncle, who later became my mentor, introduced me to the intricacies of owning a business in this field. From the very start, I harbored a passion for tax preparation, and I knew in my heart that one day it would be my career. Today, 12 years later, I can say that perseverance has been key to my success. Despite facing numerous challenges and moments of doubt along the way, I held onto a steadfast belief, no bigger than a mustard seed, that kept me moving forward. I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for the journey.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
it’s been far from a smooth road, as I don’t believe any business owner, regardless of the size of their enterprise, experiences an entirely trouble-free journey. If such a person exists, I’d love to meet them and learn their secret, which I suspect is patience. Throughout my journey, I’ve faced several challenges, including balancing personal life with professional demands. I navigated medical concerns and raised three daughters as a single mother, all while managing urgent business matters that many never would imagine from the outside looking in. Despite these hurdles, I remained committed to being a steadfast tax preparer for each client I had the pleasure of working with. These are just a few of the struggles I’ve overcome along the way.

As its owner, I’m recognized for embarking on various ventures, including content creation in the influencer lifestyle space, with a specialization in tax preparation. Under the umbrella of Tax Prep Block, LLC, we offer a diverse range of services, such as tax consulting, business consulting, business startup assistance, bookkeeping, recordkeeping, and notary services, to name just a few. What truly distinguishes me in the industry is that I am the architect of my brand, consistently working around the clock to accommodate each individual tax client’s needs in a timely fashion. I take great pride in the creativity that fuels my brand and my ability to stay resilient. Our firm has diligently studied the previous tax law, the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), as well as the current regulations under the One Big Beautiful Bill. Tax Prep Block excels in comprehensive tax preparation and offers meticulous recordkeeping and bookkeeping services for those in need.

If you have a desire or passion to be a business owner live in your dream however I would suggest anyone not to get started unless you in fact know where you will be in the next 5 years with your business and how you would generate your sales
