Today we’d like to introduce you to Preston Harris.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story begins in Lincoln, Nebraska where I grew up in a phenomenal family. My grandfather was a former police officer who was in the Hall of Fame at the University of Nebraska and my grandmother was the first black female state senator and has Maxey Elementary named after her. My father is a pastor, author, diversity consultant, and community leader, combine that with my mother a librarian and pure servant.
Even though I had a strong foundation and knew I was talented, I never gave my full effort into anything until I founded a company called Men With Dreams in 2013. Our mission was to create an environment of excellence, personal significance, and achievement for our youth and so I could provide the highest quality programming I received a Speed Training Certification from Don Beebe’s House Of Speed in 2014.
From that foundation, I have trained thousands of high-achieving athletes, partnered with businesses to help them develop strategically, worked with various school districts to provide motivational programming to their leaders, and hosted amazing events. I have worked with the Governor of Nebraska, Mayo Clinic, American Heart Association, Feeding Northeast Florida, Duval County Public Schools, Tended Bar, and Grayson Marshall Jr.
Last April I felt like I was called to do something bigger, so I moved from Florida to Atlanta. I worked for a start-up television network and even though I worked hard, it wasn’t enough income so I had to sleep in my car. For the first half of the year, I was in Atlanta, I was in between my families couches and in my car, showering at Planet Fitness. I got fired from a luxury car service because I didn’t want to cut my hair and decided to go back to working for myself.
Since then, I have signed clients such as The Freedom Georgia Initiative, the Pan African Global Trade and Investment Conference and have a small ownership piece in an event and marketplace platform called Vipsocio to help them brand and grow. As far as television is concerned, I have a channel coming out on XOD Network and serve as VP of Outreach for Mystic Circle TV to promote positivity and going after your dreams.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has been amazing, if it was super smooth I wouldn’t have grown the way I have here. I am a person that puts everything into my work and trust that everyone is going to do what is best for the growth of the business. You can’t want someone else’s business to succeed more than they do. You cannot give up time on your dreams and goals to help other people if your stuff is not in order.
I didn’t get my base salary or my commissions at the television station that I started with which made things challenging but I learned how to advocate for myself and put my well-being first.
My second job wanted me to fit into an image that they wanted for me instead of what fits my skill set best. I learned to trust and believe in myself more than ever.
Lastly, I felt like I was at all these events with important people and felt self-conscious because I was sleeping in my car after the events. But I learned to persevere and that people see you how you see yourself. If you believe that you belong and show up with the necessary materials, your blessing is on the way.

As you know, we’re big fans of Ballga Fitness LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Ballga stands for Be Awesome Light Leading God’s Anointed we believe it is our mission to feed and build Champions. We combine world-class speed training based around the exercise ball with leadership development to pour into people in a way that builds them up not tears them down.
We do this through personal training, events like our Master Builder Series, programs to engage the champion in you like Fit Church and Run After Your Dreams, plus the highest quality vegan/organic supplements, and through content on our channel on XOD Network.
Our approach to training, networking events, distribution channels, and my team sets us apart from others. We have the capacity to elevate anyone within the first five minutes of them working with us. You feel better mind, body, and soul these changes aren’t temporary they last.
I’m very proud of the people within our circle. I have amazing clients and have been blessed with amazing partners. I truly believe that my partnerships with Vipsocio, XOD Network, and Mystic Circle TV are going to change the world.
I would tell people a quote that I got from Reverend Ike ” You can’t lose with the stuff we use, and you can’t miss when you train like this.” Our system is tested and proven, one of my athletes is Big 12 Newcomer of the Year as a freshman. If you want to surround yourself with Champions, then Ballga Fitness is the place to be, and the Master Builder is your new coach.
What makes you happy?
Seeing people maximize their potential because I believe God have everyone a gift and it is my responsibility to help them unlock their greatness. When you see someone transform or a business grow, it is your hard work and time made manifest.
I am very happy when I am with my family and playing sports because my family is amazing and I’m very competitive.
