Today we’d like to introduce you to Rabia Khan.
Hi Rabia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my career in aesthetics in 2016 in Arizona. I had a very difficult time finding a job because no one wanted to hire me since I had no experience, this is a competitive field and requires a lot of hard work, I didn’t give up and started working on my own and later became a medical director of a Medspa in Arizona which helped me grow my aesthetic practice. In 2020, I moved back to Atlanta (my hometown) and got a job right away. I worked for a plastic surgeon for four years until I decided to go on my own.
“I utilize an artistic yet conservative approach when treating the aging process. I believe in continuously being up-to-date with the most innovative non-surgical approaches for facial rejuvenation to achieve the natural results my patients desire.” – Rabia Khan

She believes in natural-looking results, and patient safety is very important to her. She truly believes in continuing education to learn about current research and trends. Her goal is to make people look and feel their best. Rabia believes multi-modality treatments give the best results! In other words, if you treat the problem in different ways, the result is noticeably superior to only using one form of treatment.
In her downtime, entertaining her large extended family and beach trips with her husband and two boys give her much pleasure.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it was not a smooth road at all. I couldn’t find a job after my injectables certification. I was working in the ER at the time and part-time on the weekend I started doing injectables out of threading studio, I had no help or mentor along the way, I trained myself by taking a lot of online courses and in-person training. All of these were really expensive and I didn’t know if I had any features in this field. All I knew was that people liked me and trusted me with their faces. I kept going without thinking much about future, I had many failures along the way. No wanted to hire me since I had no experience in the beginning. When I moved back to Atlanta, even though I was experienced, I was not Instagram famous. Moving to Atlanta introduced me to many new challenges. I started posting my before and after pictures and patients started appreciating me.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Nazra Aesthetics means ‘glow and happiness of the face.’ Our providers utilize an artistic yet conservative approach when treating the aging process. They believe in continuously being up-to-date with the most innovative and non-surgical approaches for facial rejuvenation to achieve the natural results that her patients desire.
An appointment at Nazra Aesthetics is a calm, luxurious, uplifting experience. In addition, a patient is educated and is given a plan which enhances and balances their features.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I never had a mentor but if you can find one do it, it will make your journey easier.
