Today we’d like to introduce you to Samaiyah Wazeerud-Din.
Hi Samaiyah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2013, when I thought of building a business to benefit those in need, it was a mere thought. At this point in my life, I was juggling at being a mother of four and being a wife, all while still trying to find my way. I definitely was facing life’s challenges. I had not yet finished my college career, nor had I found a job that sparked my interest. My ultimate goal as a young child was to attend and graduate from an HBCU, have a career in medicine, start a family & business, give charity, and travel the world. We plan and God plans and ultimately He is the best of planners. Though not in that particular order, I am fortunate to have met the majority of those goals. In 2016, I graduated from Clayton State University with a B.S in Health Fitness Management.
Soon after, my business vision of providing a service of wellness came into fruition, and the “Lofty Girl” concept was born. I chose a name suitable for what I would provide for the physical and mental state of young girls; Lofty Girl Day Spa would provide manicures, pedicures, massages, and facials for girls between the ages of 5 and 17. Taking care of self is a healthy habit I hoped to pass on to my clients. To my dismay, Lofty Girl Day Spa did not open for services due to the rise of COVID-19.
I refused to accept that my hard work would be in vain. I decided to stay true to the mission of Lofty Girl; however, I just shifted my focus. I decided to go into the realm of body sculpting (Lofty Girl Body). This Lofty Girl expansion is catered to women who seek assistance with achieving their body goals when other avenues do not seem to be working. Lofty Girl Body offers noninvasive services that eliminate fat, reduce visibility of cellulite, and tighten skin. This business has given me the opportunity to connect with women of all age groups, women who are mothers struggling to stay focused and motivated with diet and exercise.
My journey has given me the drive to help women reach their body/lifestyle goals. I can honestly say I’m happy that I have found my niche.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Without the obstacles I have endured, I would not know my true ability to face adversity. So yes! Thus far, this journey has been fairly smooth due to my wonderful support systems love, ongoing advice, and constructive criticism. This journey is well worth it!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m a certified Body Sculptor from Decatur, GA. I provide noninvasive services that reduce fat and shape the body with low laser therapy, ultrasound, wood therapy, and radiofrequency. These treatments are for candidates relatively fit but have some stubborn body fat that cannot be easily reduced by diet or exercise. In addition to fat removal, radiofrequency therapy can be used to tighten the skin by targeting collagen with energy. Other benefits include minimal recovery time and minimal pain. I’m known for my willingness to go above and beyond for my clients or potential clients. Care doesn’t stop once they leave my room.
What sets me apart from others is:
– Once a goal is identified, I have unprecedented commitment and focus to stay on track.
– I care about the emotional state of others before mine.
I’m proud that my brand, Lofty Girl, reflects the values I was raised on; family, wellness, independence, and volunteerism.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Passion fuels the journey. Nothing can stop you when you have a purpose to fulfill.
