Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Northup.

Hi Sarah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been the friend that says, “Wait guys I have to capture this for the memories!!!” After many years of taking photos for friends and family, I finally decided to take it professionally, est. July of 2022. Since then, my business has grown more than I could’ve imagined. I’ve started doing wedding photography & videography & have over 20 weddings booked for 2026. I’m so thankful!!!!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Comparing my work to other photographers has always been my struggle. Not feeling like I’m good enough or suited for this job. But the Lord constantly reminds me that He gave me this job for a purpose & I will use it to serve Him!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Lord says to be a light for His kingdom. I pray to do that through this outlet which I enjoy so much. My goal is to tell YOUR story & approach each project with intention to reflect the love + light of Christ. My cup runneth over. I’m beyond thankful I get to turn my passion into work.

I love being a photographer/videographer simply because I love capturing all of the wonderful creations our God has made, through my eyes. I have always felt the bittersweet weight of time passing. Being able to capture moments through photos & videos has become my biggest passion. Simply call me a fly on the wall on a wedding day, preserving moments, emotions, and connections as they play out. It really is true that when you do a job you love, it never feels like you’re working!

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Taking photos of me & my cousins!!!
