I began my real estate journey in 1996 as an investor, which gave me an early, hands-on understanding of how properties perform beyond the purchase price. From 1998 to 2000, I worked in the mortgage industry, gaining insight into financing, underwriting, and how lending decisions shape long-term outcomes for buyers and property owners. That early combination of investing and lending experience shaped a grounded, numbers-driven approach to real estate—one rooted in foresight, accountability, and long-term thinking.
In 2015, I transitioned into property management, where I saw firsthand how effective oversight, legal compliance, and clear communication can protect assets and prevent small issues from becoming costly problems. After navigating multiple market cycles, I co-founded Vesta Realty Group with my business partner in 2022 to provide a transparent, relationship-driven approach to both sales and property management. I officially obtained my real estate license in 2023, formalizing a career built through decades of real-world experience rather than shortcuts. Today, I operate as a licensed real estate agent focused on practical solutions, ethical decision-making, and long-term value for clients.
Beyond real estate transactions, community involvement has always been central to my work. I co-founded Henry Business Builders, a local networking group designed to foster intentional referrals, mentorship, and sustainable growth among small business owners in Henry County. As an openly gay professional, I’ve also been intentional about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces in housing and business. Over the years, that commitment—to service, integrity, and community—has been recognized through numerous local and statewide awards, including multiple Best of Georgia and Best of Local honors. I’m proud of where I am today, but even more proud of how I got here and the trust I’ve earned along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No meaningful journey is ever completely smooth, and mine has certainly been no exception. Real estate is cyclical by nature, and navigating shifting markets, economic downturns, and changing regulations required constant adaptation and resilience. Early on, I learned that success in this industry isn’t just about knowing the numbers—it’s about managing risk, making hard decisions, and standing firm on ethics even when it would be easier not to.
Property management, in particular, presented its own challenges. Balancing the needs of owners, tenants, and legal requirements often means having difficult conversations and making unpopular but necessary decisions. There were moments when doing the right thing came at a personal or financial cost, but those experiences reinforced my commitment to transparency, compliance, and long-term thinking.
Beyond the day-to-day challenges, building something intentional—whether a business, a professional reputation, or a community—requires patience and perseverance. Each obstacle along the way helped shape how I lead today: with clarity, accountability, and a focus on sustainable success rather than quick wins.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was naturally observant, curious, and independent. I paid attention to how things worked—especially systems, people, and patterns—and I was always more interested in understanding why something happened than just accepting it at face value. I wasn’t the loudest person in the room, but I was thoughtful, analytical, and comfortable taking responsibility early on.
I gravitated toward problem-solving and roles that required trust and accountability. Whether it was managing responsibilities, helping others navigate challenges, or stepping into leadership when something needed structure, I was often drawn to being the steady presence rather than the spotlight. That mindset carried into my interests as well—I was intrigued by business, real-world decision-making, and situations where judgment and integrity mattered.
Looking back, those traits shaped the path I eventually took. The curiosity, independence, and attention to detail that defined me growing up are the same qualities that guide my work today—approaching challenges calmly, thinking several steps ahead, and focusing on solutions that create stability and long-term value.
