Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, I’m Stephanie D. Williams, Owner of Event Logistics & Consulting, a full-service event management business. I have a natural passion for events that can be traced back to my wedding coordinator days as a teenager in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. I have fond memories of assisting my mother with floral and event designs for dozens of local weddings. With the wedding industry serving as a training ground, I began my professional career coordinating youth summer programs for the local library, conferences for social organizations, and special events for families.
I started my business in 2010 and focused on following the golden rule, less is more. I strongly believe in finding beauty in simplicity. With over 20 years of experience as a non-profit and corporate event manager, I mastered the art of elevating guest experiences with personal touches of elegance and the importance of visual storytelling.
My devotion to hospitality and entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and resourcefulness have always prevailed and resulted in building a trusted brand.
All right, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This is a great question. My journey has not been easy but has been very rewarding. The challenges I encountered taught me valuable lessons about myself as an entrepreneur and the importance of building professional partnerships. When I reflect on my career, one theme is constant. Most people have a misconception of what event planning entitles. This is a challenge many event professionals face with clients, stakeholders, and employers. I handle these situations by enforcing best practices and solutions for a favorable outcome. It’s essential to control the event when working with people who do not understand logistics, guidelines, and policies.

I am very excited to announce soon Event Logistics & Consulting will launch digital courses, group coaching, and one-on-one consulting. What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
When times are good or bad, always remind yourself that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself. I decided to start my business and risk my future by simply believing in myself. I have never regretted that decision. Every day, I thank myself for believing in me. It is a simple practice of gratitude that has served me well.
