Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
One day, as I was out and about in the world, I happened to come across a quote that changed my life. The quote said “What do you do the best with the smallest amount of effort?” After hearing that quote, I got to thinking.. what is it that I do best? I literally got out a pen and a paper and wrote down what I felt I was best at. And let me tell you.. the list was not that long especially, after crossing out everything that required more than a small amount of effort. I was left with two choices; caring & listening. Out of my list of six, only two survived.. with absolutely no effort, I was best at listening, caring about, and helping anyone who came across my path. Its always been my nature to help and care for people, and that’s how The Chic Chamber Was Born.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a struggle gaining people’s trust. I am a 24 years old woman and a lot of times, people don’t believe that I am equipped to help them. They believe I’m too young, or that I am not experienced enough to know how to help other women like me change their lives. It took me a lot of perseverance and lots of willpower not to quit. But I realized that it’s my calling to help other women no matter their age, the race, or the financial status. A big part and also one of the most challenging parts of me starting The Chic Chamber was coming to terms with the fact that I wasn’t my best self; that I had flaws and problems that I had to work through, and how could I help other women when I wasn’t where I wanted to be in life? So I got my own life coach and got to work! I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Chic Chamber. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Chic Chamber Is A Club. A club exclusively for women where we pride ourselves on empowering one another. The Chic Chamber was founded in February of 2022 after I decided that there needed to be a change in society over the way women view themselves and how they view others. I am a Life Coach, I help other women just like myself realize that they have the potential to be powerful women. They have the potential to be the best version of themselves. They have the potential to change the world. I mentor younger girls so that they aren’t stuck out their in their mid-20s, trying to find themselves and decide what they want out of life. What makes The Chic Chamber stand out is the fact that it’s a community. Not only do I want to individually change the lives of women, but on a greater scale, I want to be the women who empower women to empower women. As a species ladies, we need to come together as one. Think about a sorority of sisters. They pledge together, they support each other, and they empower each other. That’s what I want our sisters to think of when they see The Chic Chamber.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Every entrepreneur, every business women, and every successful person must be comfortable with taking risks. For me, I’ve never been a person with a lot of money. I grew up in a pretty average family, my parents worked their butt off for everything we had. I never had a trust fund or money waiting for me from my parents so I kind of had to teach myself the financial ropes of life. To me, the biggest risk you can take is investing in yourself, your business, or your ideas- and that’s what I Did. I invested in myself, my business and my ideas. As I mentioned before money doesn’t come easy for me, and I have two children so when I see that to make a successful company I have to put into it financially, it’s a risk I am willing to take.
