Inspiring Conversations with Tiffany Thomas of Lush Amar Body Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Thomas.

Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Lush Amar Body Care was established 2020 in June. While the Covid-19 had a negative impact on many people’s lives and just all around Tiffany Thomas a native from Washington DC changed her own narrative in just a few months. Taking losing her job in January and being a full-time mom her creative peak hit and took off in a major way. While she started with just making handmade skincare for friends and family she is now a full-time natural skin care provider.

Though her products are small, she is casting a wider net going into the next year of branding, larger events, and business collab with other small businesses within her city Atlanta, GA where she now resides.Making products such as yoni oil, sugar scrubs, hand-whipped shea butter and now hair care products.

Skincare in a natural way is her passion and being a loving mom is her fuel daily to keep driving successfully as a business woman. Lush Amar Body Care is only one of her businesses as Tiffany has been in Accounting for over ten years and now taking her business skills to the next level in a whole new way. We expect great things from this beautiful soul.

In 2021 Lush Amar took new heights as hosting small business pop up shops such as Mother’s Day Pop Up with over 40 vendors and live music artists. Hosted Back school pop theme in July giving many parents school supplies for those in need. She tends to host in many of the black owned event spaces throughout the metro area and is still making her way to larger spaces. Next big event will be in June of 2022 while Tiffany is a skincare naturalist she embarks on hosting more events in 2022. The Night of Excellence event will be a new spin on semi-formal mixers that gives small businesses a night to meet and enjoy all of their accomplishments from the past year. Music, friends and meeting many of our small business owners through the Atlanta area and surrounding. Lush Amar is now adding hair care products such as conditioners to growth oil. Lush Amar is rising and like so many other businesses in the Peach State it is owned by a black woman. “I’m inspired to push myself more on the business of my back story and wanting to give my daughter a legacy of her mother she can build on for her family one day.” I think what I love the most about starting this business is how many beautiful like minded people I’ve met like me and doing the same with their business.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Honestly there are so many things with business funding all around and being inspired to do it. If you have a dream you should have goals. I’ve experienced ups and downs in my business and my personal life and I am choosing to keep striving for success with a positive mind and heart. The biggest struggle really has been funding. I am looking into grants. I am working remotely now and still working on my business daily. My goal is to get to a good selling market and meet my goals there. I think tapping into the resources locally will help me more in this journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Lush Amar Body Care?
Lush Amar Body is not just a skincare business but a handcrafted business built by a woman. “ I planned to teach classes for young girls and want to get Lush Amar to a point where we can give back to the community more. The products are made to give your skin a little added love with moisture but note that it’s natural. We are launching new products this spring and they will be on our website then. We are open. So please come check us out. I would want the readers to know my products are made with love and that their skin would thank them later for using Lush Amar products.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I moved to Georgia about three years ago. I came here pregnant. My Uncle Daren lived in Stone Mountain. I wasn’t due until September 5th. My daughter Amari Everveart was born August 27th and my Uncle was her delivering doctor. I had my daughter right in the hallway of his home. My Uncle and his wife helped me in more ways than one. This is why I chose to name my business after my daughter Amari to the name “Lush Amar”. My daughter is now three and such a fun little girl. She pushes more ways than one to go higher.
