Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Memorial day 2021, I packed my SUV full of everything I needed and drove 11 hours to move to Norcross, GA from Kansas City, Missouri. I got my cosmetology license and braided in KC for five years before the transition to GA. It was a bit difficult growing clientele while being a “new” braider to the Atlanta area, there are so many scams people don’t know where to go or who to trust with their hair. After three weeks of marketing and getting nowhere I had one client she posted her review video of four fire stitch braids on her story and my clientele went up from there! I’ve been consistently booked and with thanks from God, I got my shop in Lithia Springs, GA in March 2022. This was all in 9 months! My shop “Verified Beauty Bar” is hiring booth renters and the journey has just begun, much more success is in the works.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has not been smooth but there has also been great times! I moved here with my children and Husband. We have been working, parenting and growing our businesses while making time for ourselves we got this!! Solely focused on the bigger picture and it’s already showing.
We’ve been impressed with Verified Beauty Bar, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a master cosmetologist and entrepreneur. I specialize in Braids like “knotless or stitch braids” I create content on my IG and FB pages of my braids.
