Hi Zhareia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Zhareia Smith, proud owner of Meyundi Myxes: Mobile Bartending Services. From an early age, entrepreneurship has always been a part of my life. Growing up with entrepreneurial parents, I inherited their drive and passion for creating something of my own.
After high school, I joined the Army National Guard to assist me in funding my college education. Once I completed basic training, my journey led me to Clayton State University, where I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. During my senior year in 2021, the idea for Meyundi Myxes was born. It all started with selling punch pouches out of my dorm room, where I experimented with crafting unique and flavorful signature drinks that are still staples of my business today.
However, life had a surprise in store for me. That same year, I found out I was expecting my daughter. This blessing temporarily paused my entrepreneurial journey as I shifted my focus to preparing for motherhood. After my daughter’s arrival, I felt an even greater determination to build something meaningful for both of us. In 2024, I decided to officially launch Meyundi Myxes, by obtaining my business license and committing to turning my vision into reality.
Using the marketing skills I honed during my college years, I took charge of creating all the branding materials for Meyundi Myxes. From the logo to promotional materials, I poured my creativity and knowledge into establishing a strong brand identity. Thanks to these efforts and the unwavering support of my faith and support system, Meyundi Myxes has experienced tremendous growth and success.
Today, Meyundi Myxes is more than just a mobile bartending service—it’s a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of a dream. Whether it’s through our unique drinks or exceptional customer service, we strive to make every event we serve truly unforgettable. My journey is proof that with faith, hard work, and a little ingenuity, anything is possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I can definitely say that business has not been a smooth road . Owning a business as a mother, while also working a full-time job and being an Army Reservist can feel like I’m being pulled in so many directions. Time management was initially a struggle. I was in grad school when I began pouring into my business and that along with my other responsibilities made it extremely hard to carve out time for self care and mental health. There were many times where I felt like focusing on my business was a waste of time because it added so much on my plate. However, looking back now, it showed me how to persevere when things got tough and to prioritize the things what were most important to me.

But in my world, success looks a little different. It’s in the genuine smiles of my clients enjoying their event, the connections formed over a shared sip, or the joy that lingers long after the last drink. Success to me is about defying the odds and choosing to show up and do it anyway.
