Today we’d like to introduce you to Pablo Filmz
Hi Pablo, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I Bought my very first camera , which was a Canon Rebel T6 on Black Friday November 2017. My very first gig i photographed was for these Twin brothers who were DJ’s on the rise, and they booked an Rap artist that goes by the name Hoodrich Pablo Juan.
I had absolutely no clue what i was doing, but i was confident and was very excited to capture moments for a celebrity. After that Gig i had the opportunity to film behind the scenes for artist 21 Savage,Young Nudy, Lil Durk and many more. I also use to get bookings for baby showers, which was always fun to shoot. In 2019, I had the opportunity to intern at a very popular photography studio space called “Cam kirk studios”. A lot of people sometimes mistake that studio as mine, i guess because i’m always there working, sometimes just editing or something work related. I’ve had over 500 appointments in a entire year one year, which was a blessing and hope to beat that record again. I thank the lord for bringing me this far from 2017- now in 2025. This year i’m switching up my niche in photography and focusing on photographing weddings, engagement and proposal photos.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not, i honestly wanted to quit photography after making a year. I felt i wasn’t getting enough support from family and friends in the beginning of chasing something i am very passionate about. Also, I didn’t know my worth at one point in my career, I would sell myself short by lowballing my prices to please clients that didn’t truly respect my time and talent.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am very diverse in my field, i truly don’t label myself as a certain photographer. I can do it all, Events, Family portraits, Film etc. you name it i can do it. I adapt very well to any environment i am put in, and that is what sets me apart from others
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory will forever be any halloween, because my great aunt always made it special to me. Every year she would buy my halloween costume, and on halloween night after my mom takes me trick o treating, she would call my great aunt and let her know “Batman”, “Michael myers” etc is on the way to your house. Once we arrived, she would turn her porch light off and her house was always decorated real spooky looking. Once i get to the door i would say trick o treat, she would give me candy and she would take my photo on a film camera.
