We’re looking forward to introducing you to Keionne Johnson . Check out our conversation below.
Keionne , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Hands down, integrity. Intelligence and energy can open doors, but it’s integrity that keeps them open. Strong character builds trust, respect, and lasting relationships, and that will always take you further in life and work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Keionne Johnson, and I’m the owner of KeeVision. I originally started my business with a focus on social media management and content creation, but recently I rebranded to specialize in event videography and brand-focused content creation. What truly sets me apart is my passion. I’m not in this for the money or because it’s trendy. This is a vision and gift God placed in me, and I pour my heart into every project. I love capturing moments, creating meaningful content, and seeing the joy on my clients’ faces when they see the final results. Right now, I’m focused on attending events and seeking networking opportunities, because I’ve learned it’s not just about what you know, but also about who you know.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I wasn’t enough. This industry can be tough, because everywhere you look, someone is creating content and it’s easy to fall into what I call the ‘comparison game.’ At times, that insecure little girl in me still tries to show up, reminding me of when I felt I had to change my personality just to be liked. But as I’ve grown in my identity in Christ, built my confidence, and continued sharpening my editing skills, I’ve come to truly believe that I am enough just the way I am.
Now, instead of letting comparison cripple me, I let it sharpen me. I remind myself that God has given me my own lane, my own story, and my own voice that no one else can duplicate. The very things that once made me feel “different” are the same things that set me apart today. I no longer strive to fit into someone else’s mold I focus on becoming the best version of me.
And on the days when doubt still tries to creep in, I go back to the truth: my worth isn’t measured by likes, views, or followers, but by the One who created me. That’s where my peace comes from. That’s where my confidence comes from. And that’s why I can boldly say I am enough, and I always have been.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
I used to host a podcast called CoffeeTalksWithKee, where I explored the bridge between mental health and faith in Jesus. It was a space where I could be transparent, have meaningful conversations, and remind people that healing and hope can coexist.
But when I launched KeeVision, I made the decision to put the podcast on the back burner so I could give my full focus and energy to growing my business. At first, I wrestled with guilt feeling like I had abandoned something that carried purpose. Over time, though, I realized that sometimes changing your mind isn’t about giving up, but about shifting priorities so that what’s in your hands right now can thrive.
I’ve come to see that putting CoffeeTalksWithKee on pause was an act of wisdom, not failure. It taught me the importance of timing, stewardship, and trusting that every seed doesn’t have to bloom at once. I believe that in the right season, I’ll be able to bring the podcast back this time with more experience, resources, and clarity to fully showcase the vision I have for that venture. And when I do, it will return stronger and more impactful than before.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in this industry is that success is a ‘one size fits all’ that you have to copy what everyone else is doing to get noticed. That mindset kills creativity and authenticity. Too often, the focus is on polished, picture-perfect content, while the real work stays hidden. That’s why I love shooting behind-the-scenes videos. They expose the truth the long hours, the trial and error, the beautiful chaos it takes to create even a 30-second video. Authenticity isn’t just refreshing; it’s necessary.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone, I hope people remember me as a woman who loved God deeply , lived with humility and faith and loved her family fiercely. That I was giving, adventurous, genuine and brought joy wherever I went. More than anything, I want my legacy to be that I loved well, served faithfully and left people better than I found them.
