Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ryan Cameron of Conyers to Atlanta

We recently had the chance to connect with Ryan Cameron and have shared our conversation below.

Ryan, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
Normal day for me right now looks like waking up getting myself ready for work, then making sure my newborn son is taking care of. Then heading off to work then what I got to do there. Then coming home working on content, spending time with my loved one, then doing that again.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is camtron 954 and I’m the CEO and founder of galactic Good People. I’m also an actor and author and a director. My brand is just a reflection of my style and love for humanity as a whole, all packaged up in a fantasy bouquet. Come get lost with me…

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve always been the same guy no matter what the world or others around me felt. I’ve always had the same dreams, the same goals, the same passions. Now into my adulthood, I’m just able to finally see those things to fruition with no one holding me back. This sky the limit

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
The most trying time period of my life was My 12th grade year. It was a fun time, but also the most impactful year of my life. Because little did I know I would be heading to the penitentiary for 10 years of my life. It was then in that moment, I realized that I had to do something more for myself, and something more special with my time. I suddenly became studious, got my bachelor’s degree, achieved other trade certifications, wrote a fantasy book, and so much more. So that once I was finally released, the transition was easy – and since then I’ve just been making movies, making music, making clothes, and making history.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real version of me because they’re all one of the same. I try not to be fake but authentic. I try not to be flippant vs too agreeable. And I try not to be an a-hole when I know I can be better.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
That’s funny based on my last statement(s). But if I had to give up something within my 10 years left to live, I would give up any distractions or procrastination. I’ve learned that “IT” is the devil, lol.
