Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A small-town girl with big dreams. I’m a college graduate from Purdue University. Being successful has always been a goal of mine and to make a mark on one’s life. I’m currently employed in the insurance industry have been for over eight years. I’ve always thought if you go to college and obtain a degree, you’ll be set as far an income. However, that’s not always the case. I’ve always been good with my hands. I consider them a blessing from God.
Despite the health challenges of being diagnosed with M.S. in 2013, I felt that my life would be on hold and I would be limited to things that I wanted to achieve in life. I asked myself what a girl to do with a new diagnosis that I didn’t have a clue about is? However, I educated myself about this disease, as this will not be a death sentence, just a lifestyle change. I’m a mother of three and now a Wife. There is living to do. In 2018 I started journaling and writing down my goals and where I wanted to be in a few years, I needed extra income; however, I didn’t want to overwork myself. I wanted to start my own business. I wanted to figure out how I could use my hands to bless others. I asked God to guide me into my lifelong dream of becoming a business owner. I needed supplemental income to help sustain our lifestyle however, I didn’t see myself taking on another corporate job. I’m gifted, knowledgeable, and I figured it’s time to put those degrees to work. ASM Creations LLC was created because I loved monogramming personal items of my own. So I stepped out on faith and started personalizing items for others. I enjoy my gift. It’s truly a blessing. If I make one person happy at the end of the day with their purchase, I’ve done my job.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be quite honest, it hasn’t been easy. Starting from my personal funds, I felt as though I was losing and felt like giving up. But eventually, I started to save profits and was able to purchase additional equipment to make my business more profitable.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a female entrepreneur! Providing my customers with exceptional customer service is my number one priority. I specialize in monogrammed items such as glass, cups, blazers, personalized invitations, announcements, and also T-Shirts. What sets ASM Creations LLC apart from others is because we specialize in mystery giveaways once every quarter. I’m proud of the continuous support from regular customers and new customers. This makes me know I have a purpose.
