Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantel Ford
Chantel Ford design creativity began 15 years ago. She started with sewing in her tenth-grade high school home economics class that cultivated her love for arts. In 2005 she attended Bauder College in Atlanta, GA and her passion for Fashion Design led her into making custom clothing. She’s a wife, mother of five children, CCMA and the CEO & Founder of Imagine Me Sew. She has sewn countless custom tops, hats, scarves, jackets and many more other custom clothing. Bringing her sense of custom creativity, unique, individual designs to her work she creates one of a kind experiences for all her customers. After 18 years of sewing and creating designs are by far the best work she loves to do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Sewing has been by far the best thing I love to do. I always imagined myself with my own business. June 2020, I made my mind up to actually start my own business. I launched my new website as well this year. I’m looking forward to starting my own clothing line soon. Being a mother of five little children and tackling my mommy duties on top of working a full-time job in the medical field could sometimes be a huge struggle for me as far as keeping everything organized. That’s why I am still a firm believer in hand writing my plans and goals. I love planners and nice notebooks to keep me in check with my day to day business. With the help and huge support of my husband Trevone and oldest son monte none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for them. I can truly say that they are the face and models of Imagine Me Sew.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I custom create hand sewn clothing for my customers. My imagination is beyond this world. I simply sketch out my ideas and bring them to life. I am known for my custom, unique creativity. I am so proud of myself for finally starting my business this year. One thing you’re going to get from Imagine Me Sew is unique originality. If you want to look different and stand out from the crowd then Imagine Me Sew is the way to go. I like to think different, look different and be different and that’s exactly what you see in my custom sewn work!

People can support me by telling others about my creative work. I love to meet with others who share in the same work. From time to time I am a vendor at pop ups throughout Atlanta and I would appreciate all the support and love, especially when people come out to meet and take pictures with me and support my business.
