Life and Work with Chelsey Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsey Jackson.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m going to start off by saying I’ve always been into “spirituality.” I grew up in the church, lol, literally, my mom would take us to church six days a week five if we were lucky. I developed a relationship with God early in life, what was hate turned into love as I got older and I started to understand why my mom was hauling us (my sister and I) to every church event she could. My mom had been lost and she found solace in Jesus and so did I until life started to happen. I went off to college that didn’t quite work out, so I moved in with my boyfriend and that’s when my real spiritual journey began. I like to say that’s when God removed the rose-colored glasses.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was a very rough and rocky road because I had started to pray and ask God to reveal the truth to me. (One thing about knocking if you knock long enough the door will be opened) I was praying heavily for truth because at that time everywhere I was going people ( strangers) were telling Jesus ain’t real!!! I would go to the restaurant only to hear women talking about why they chose to walk away from the church. So, I remember crying out to God one night and telling God if Jesus ain’t real then my life is an entire lie and that I didn’t want to live if Jesus wasn’t coming back to save us. From there, I went down the rabbit hole things got weird and dark. I started to “lose my mind”, well, that’s what my entire family thought and said when I was telling them that Jesus wasn’t coming back and that we were living a lie this whole time. I lost a lot of friends and good relationships I looked up and I was alone. Just me and God. That’s the way God wanted it so that I could hear without ego and without judgment. I went through my onion phase (when you’re peeling off the layers that you’ve picked up along the way in life, that’s really not you so you have to strip away and away until you finally get to the core, your true authentic self).

Please tell us about InfluentialChels.
I’m in the beginning phase of becoming a life coach/spiritual healer. My plans are to help other people heal and progress on their soul journey through this 3D world, help people remember that we are souls having a human experience. Right now, I’m known for my motivational videos that I post on Instagram @influentialchels and on YouTube. I’m proud of myself for believing in myself enough to create this platform for myself and others. I’m set apart from the rest because this is my true authentic truth that I choose to stand on in front of the world. I’m not here to condemn anything or anyone, I’m here to help other people find their truth and help them stand firmly on whatever that is for them, rather the world agrees or disagree. To any young men or women going on your journey, to awakening to your true soul calling know that it will NOT be easy, it will be an unexpected twist and turns, it will be confusing, it will be dark sometimes and sometimes, you will feel like why did I even bother with wanting to know at all. Know that it’s worth it, you’re going through the dark to get to the light, your light. The world needs you, the world needs your light, you’re not alone, no matter if you feel that you are, you’re not. You have all of your angels and ancestors around you rooting for you and cheering you on. This is your blank canvas and it’s up to you to make it a masterpiece.

Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
I feel that the bigger barriers are judgment and generational curses that have been placed on us and in us that prevents us from seeing a different perspective on life, prevent us from healing and prevents us from loving ourselves enough to evolve outside of what a white (Caucasian) patriarch society says we should be how we should act and what we should look like. The future depends on the strength of women and we are here to rise to call with power!
