Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe’ Allen.
Hi Chloe’, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Chloe’ Gabrielle Allen but I go by my stage name Chloe,’ and I am 27 years old. I am a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I spread my wings and moved to Atlanta at the age of 18 years old to attend Clark Atlanta University. I became a member of the Philharmonic Society Choir, a member/captain of the cheer squad, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. music has always been my first love. I began singing at the age of eight in my church choir and ever since, I’ve continued to fight for my dreams of becoming an artist. After graduating in 2016 from Clark Atlanta University, I made it my mission to perfect my craft. I am truly proud to say that I can finally introduce myself to the world with my new self titled EP titled Chloe’. It’s a compilation of five songs that gives you just a little taste of how I will be coming. This project is my first real project and is available for streaming on all platforms.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being from a small town in Arkansas, I quenched all that the big city of ATL had to offer in the music industry. But I had learned shortly that the road was not smooth and things were not going to come as easy as I wanted them to. I had to grow and start slow so that I could learn from some of the local greats. I interned at multiple studios and assisted on projects for a few different artists. After years passed, I realized that people truly didn’t have my best interest at heart. There were only so many false starts I could take and I had a wake-up call that showed me I could and needed to make my own dreams come true. I worked really hard and It might have taken a couple of years later, but I finally did it. Working behind the scenes for others for so long just made me appreciate my work on this project that much more.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a music artist. The genre of music I sing is R&B. My love for r&b and soul music stemmed from my upbringing of listening to icons like Whitney Houston, Lailah Hathaway and Beyonce’. They’ve had such an influence on all that I want to be as an artist. I am most proud of my performance abilities to sing and dance. What sets me apart from others is my willingness to learn and take from artists that have come before me, I’m not afraid to take a backseat and learn from others along the way.
