Today we’d like to introduce you to CoCo Weatherly
CoCo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“Tell me about yourself” is usually the hardest question to answer, but I’ve had a passion for music since the womb so talking about flows naturally. I’m born and raised in Flint, MI. Going to church every Sunday sometimes twice a week, church is what introduced me to my love for instruments, the piano and the drums. I’ve been singing since 12. My favorite saying is “Put the work in now and you won’t have to” as for my favorite scripture is Psalms 23. I’ve always had a loving heart to help those in need and be a beacon of light for the community. I know people don’t take r&b artist serious when they also do gospel music, but they both are a part of me. It’s my goal to experience all level of entrepreneurship and take heed to my opportunities just like a few men I look up to like 50cent and Jamie Foxx.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road hasn’t been the smoothest but because of my belief in God I was always taught to never give up. As a kid my mom and dad divorce kind of had an impact on my living situation and it always made me ponder on life challenges if I was strong enough to endure.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Multi-Musician … I sing, I play drums, and I piano.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love your downtown area and how live it is during holidays. I don’t have anything bad to say about your city. I love it!
