Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Gall.
Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I first started my career in a sales position where I spoke to a small business that all had a need for virtual assistants, but didn’t have the money to pay for someone in-house or didn’t have full-time work. At the time, I thought I was the only virtual assistant out there and then quickly realized that wasn’t the case. When we first started, we were new to the entrepreneurial world, but we hit the ground running and had our first client within a month. Over the last eight years, we have built a team of skilled individuals to provide a one-stop-shop for back-office support. Clients truly love that they get to work with a U.S. based Executive Assistant or Marketing Assistant to get all their day-to-day tasks completed. Today, we are one of the leading VA agencies, working with clients worldwide.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has never been particularly easy to run a business. First and foremost you must have grit and determination to succeed. Every day is a learning experience and there will always be highs and lows in your business. The important thing to remember is that (hopefully) you are doing what you love and that should fuel you every day. On top of that, remember to never give up. It’s easy to throw in the towel when you have a rough day, but it’s important to remember that tomorrow is a new day. With the amount of time we spend working, we should be doing what we love. Keep your head up and if you fell down yesterday, you’ll stand up today.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
The most important piece of advice I would give to someone just starting her career would be to always strive to be the best woman you can be in every situation. Things will get hard, but remember your worth and speaking up when necessary will be very key to your success in life.
