Marlo created Glam It UP, Inc. a 501c3 in 2011 to encourage young girls in the foster care system to excel beyond their current status to achieve success in all areas of their lives.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing has been smooth in my life, but I am a fighter. Moving to Atlanta opened so many doors for me and my goal is to do the same for women.
Advise Marlo gives to young women – Marlo’s tells the young girls she’s mentors via her foster care non profit “Glam It Up, Inc.” to set goals and plan ways to follow through on them, to use social media as a tool to network with people in your industry or who you admire and also as an educational tool, there is so much information on the net and seeing others achievement is good inspiration. All of that can be seen on social media.
